Yeah, true. I guess it depends on that specific hospital and the boss. Just have to cross your fingers.

Thanks for the reply. Its almost like if you end up with a bad boss, you will want to quit and work somewhere else. One person having to work all the holidays is just not fair.

Whats the deal with Kaiser hospitals??? I mean I read a lot of posts here and there where members say Kaiser is not good to work for. I'm planning on enrolling in the kaiser loan forgiveness program which means I will have to work for them for at least 2 yrs. What are the bad things for Kaiser that I should be aware of???

Hello all, I'm about to start a ABSN program and just want to see what your experiences as a 1st yr nurse are. Do new nurses have any say in the shifts (night or day) they work and which days of the week they work??? Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply.... is there a reason why I would not want to work for Kaiser for the 2 yrs? I mean do treat their workers bad or pay less than other hospitals because we are in the loan forgiveness program???

Thanks for the reply! I asked the people at the orientation and they basically didn't want to talk about it and said to wait until we start the program. But I just can't start the program and commit to the $ that I have to pay and find out that I can't get the help from the loan forgiveness later.

Hello, I recently got accepted to the Mount Saint Marys ABSN program and I'm very happy. The problem is I don't have a lot of money to pay for the school and this Kaiser program would help out a lot. Does anyone know if its easy to get accepted? I can't really afford to pay back a loan for so long after school as I have a lot of family expenses that will depend on me. Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance. :)
