hI,
I'm interested in this one because I believe you are able to earn so much more in the States that we do over here in Scotland. My salary is £11.40 per hour, we make in an average month a take home pay of £1600. which includes unsocial hours made up on Sat/Sun shifts and nights too. I work in ICU and we do 12.5 hour shifts doing 2 weeks days and 2 weeks nights. I dont know what that is in dollars. I have 10 years Accident & Emergency experience and 7 years ICU. My last pay rise was in 1999...I'm at the top of the earnings for my grade.

Hello,
I started at Christiana about 6 years ago and it was about $19.50 now I think its around $22 but you do get that increased after 6 months I think. Benefiets are good too, dental sucks but I does every where. Hope this helps.

My husbands Godmother lives right by Christiana and is a nurse in Delaware and she has been told by nurse who work there that they are starting nurses at upwards of $30 an hour. Hubby is trying to talk me into moving to Delaware now lol

The nice thing about Christiana is they pay you for your LPN experience. Thats one of the reasons I'm looking into taking a job in that system!

They pay you for LPN experience? Does that mean you have to be an RN to get a job there? I haven't seen any postings for LPN's at all, but I know there are some there. ???
Yes I don't think they hire LPNs altho of Course some work there lol. I mean if you have been an LPN then when they hire you as a RN they pay you more than the basic starting salary. I'm told they count half of your LPN experience. In other words, if you have been an LPN for 10 yrs then they would start you as an RN with 5 yrs. experience.

What about pay rates for us old-timers, with 14 years? I currently work in Delaware County PA, in a small community hospital with base of $36/hour.
Good rate I'd say!
I don't know but I've been an LPN forever. Wayy more than 14 years!!
