JuicyJem...........I hope you get a preceptor like the ones I have always had when starting at new hospitals. I have had really terrific preceptors. May your preceptor be a nurse who really likes to teach and mentor new nurses. Best of everything to you on your new job, and congratulations to you on your nursing successes.

Hi,
I am a new RN. I have been to orientation at the hospital where I am working, and I met a lot of people. However, none of these will be working with me. I am the only new RN on this floor. I haven't met my preceptor yet. I am basically nervous about how they will treat me. I guess I am just used to being treated like a student...........but I want so much for my preceptor to be a good one!!!!!
I am just nervous to walk in at 6:30 in the morning, meet a bunch of new people, and then immediately start working with them.
Help!
