You need to know contents too...You have to do the least 2500 questions to feel ready for this exam. I will be taking mine next month and I have to study everyday so far. I did the kaplan review and I am almost done with the Qbank. I will be doing some questions in the saunders and exam cram too...I wish you all the best.

did u do kaplans Qbank only or u studied the whole basic and course too??

and good luck for ur exam :)

Once i took kaplan I passed with flying colors. It is a great program, you will do it!

you need to study and know your content. I have taken Kaplan and failed and this time I am taking Hurst Review. This review the content that you need to know for the exam. Much easy to do then read the whole Kaplan book. My Kaplan instructor told me if I failed it was because I did not know enough content. I should of done Hurst first and than kaplan qbank questions because then I would of had my content down and only needed to work on critical thinking. Kaplan questions are good. Just remember you need to know the content in order to pass.

Take off a few days until your head clears. Buy a new blank calendar. Decide what you will use besides the review. Content before questions. I would listen, watch, read, content until your review class. Then finish up with content afterwards, and start questions after both the review and your review of content. Just an idea. But any plan is a good plan. Don't go at it willy nilly. Good luck.

Do the end of chapter quizzes before you start reviewing the chapters.

Score the quizzes. (Put your remedial efforts into the areas you score less than 80% on the pretest.)

Write out the rationales for the questions that you miss. (This helps you correct your thinking and improves your "think like a nurse" cognitive skill set.)

When you are doing practice questions have your patient care hat on. The test at its deepest level is assessing your ability to integrate knowledge and apply that to making appropriate patient care choices.

Best of luck and you will pass the next time.

thx guys that was helpful im ganna take the hurst review for my content and do kaplan at the same time hopefuly that might work :)

wish me luck:)
