Start LVN school in 8 days

I am literally counting down the minutes to when I start school.....Dec 29th will be the happiest day of my life....I will try and let people know what my first day of school is like......Please let me know if anyone else starts soon.....:D:yeah:

congrats to all you starting soon! i remember not so long ago, november 2nd to be exact, i started my lvn program and boy it has been a rollercoaster ride already! good luck and best wishes, you will all do great & be wonderful nurses!

oh, and after orientation we got to pick up our books all ten of them, and that was only for level one! lol.

congratulations to all of you. I start Jan 20 and at the orientation they assigned four chapters of reading. I am nervous but very excited. I wish you all the best. We are on our way to becoming nurses finally.

Depending on what state your are in, and what schools in your area carry the program. Not all LVN programs require the same things. For example my program does not require pre-reqs, some programs do. Try looking on your states nursing board website to find out what accredited programs are available. If you have any more questions let us know. Allnurses is the best place for answers.:redbeathe

CONGRATS TO ALL! I start my LPN class in March 09 and am anxious because I can not pick up my books yet. My acceptance letter did say to read chapters 1-5 in math for meds because we will have our first test on day one. I am a little nervous about a test on day one but I fully intend to study like crazy and pass it. Good luck to all in 2009.

Good luck to all.

You will stress out about taking pulses first, then taking blood pressure, then getting blood sugars, then giving injections and then ng tubes foleys and trach suctioning but quicker than you realize it you'll get it down and wonder why you used to worry.

My first day was exciting....We had to go over the handbook, that took awhile..We then took pictures for our ID's and watched about 4 tapes....We were issued our books after lunch and they probably weight about 100 lbs., it was crazy..I would suggest a rolling suitcase, it came in handy. We went over each of the books and given our calendar for the year....We had a test today on information that we were given at orientation and our next test is Wednesday over 4 chapters....This day was everything I was hoping for and more.......
