I am literally counting down the minutes to when I start school.....Dec 29th will be the happiest day of my life....I will try and let people know what my first day of school is like......Please let me know if anyone else starts soon.....:D:yeah:

Hi .... I am brand new to site. I am starting classes on Jan 27th. Still a bit off. I can't wait!!! Good Luck to you ! P.S. Can we use names in messages. I don't see too many. I'm Sheila. I'm sure we both will be OFF & RUNNING once classes start. BE WELL :monkeydance:

WOW!! The work has begun for you Rhonda!! Good luck. 6 more days for me for orientation... FREAKING OUT HERE!!! LOL

I have decided this past week to do nothing but sleep, play computer games & spend time with the family instead of doing review of any kind. I figure there will be enough studying in only a few days... and if its anything like yours I KNOW it will be!! Keep us posted.

I will start by saying GOOD LUCK!. I graduated December 12th and I am glad it is over.

First of all, you have to make the decision, if your ready to give up your life for 1 year, because if your not this is not going to work for you. There were girls in my class who thought they could sneak off and party and hang a little bit and it caught up with them and now they are out of the program. We started with 25 and grad with 17. The class that started in may behind me had 18 and is now 4 and they grad. in may 09. Those girls started at the begining of summer. We had to get 80% in all nursing classes, if you got 75-80% one time you went on probation. Non-nursing classes had to be 80% no probaton. On our exit grade you had to get an 90% or re-take. Im pround to say I got an 96% on Dec 29, Dec 19 was a snow day. The forms were sent to the state on the first day back Jan 5, 2009. Waiting for test date!!!!!!!!!

The best advice to you all is to figure out if your a visual or auditory learner. If visual (like me) I used a lot of colorful pens for note taking and puting posters on my wall. Auditory you need to get a digital tape recorder. I got one from Wal-Mart for 39.00 bucks. I only used it to go back and hear something I couldn't hear.

The only bad thing about starting in January is that you have to go to school during the summer, and boy it was hard. It gets dark later, all the good movies are out, the parks, and all the parties. But don't give in to it.

I had to give up my life for 1 year and boy did my kids hate it. But I explained to them that this one year of sacrafice would be a whole life worth of return. Turn off the phones, tv(im a big tv person), only use the pc for research, don't even check email unless it is a must from your school.

MsTn81....I am still in shock and sleep depreviation has set in.....we have 3-4 test every day and Friday we had 6, it was crazy, but I love every minute of it....good luck on you first day of class..
