St pete college fall 2013

Published

Hello,

I have read previous posts on here over the last few months regarding admission to SPC's AS Nursing program. I applied for the fall 2013 semester. Are there any applicants out there who also applied? I am playing the waiting game. Do any previous applicants know how long it takes to hear if you are accepted or not, once the application window closes? Thank you:)

mommytothree.....you have to upload the receipt to the CreditProfile Page

Hi mommytothree,

i also signed up for the 7/30 test for the 1-5pm slot. I know they said there' s not a way you can "study" for this, but does anyone have any idea of any good reviews or practice questions/booklets related or comparable to this exam. Is this similar to the HESI or TEAS test? Would one of those reviews suffice?

Thanks!

Does anyone have a good contact # for the HEC campus? Even after orientation, I still have a few questions that need to be cleared up and I have absolutely no success in getting through. Does anyone know if we are supposed to print the syllabus in the lessons tab? It is for 2012-2013, so I am hesitant. Also, in my SPC, it says that our Action Plan has been initiated but has to complete by 8/19.....I have no clue where that came from, Also is the ATI signature page the email that they sent us when we registered for our ATI test date? ANY help on ANY of these would so helpful, or a good contact would greatly be appreciated as well! Thanks in advance :)

I wouldn't print out the 2012-2013 syllabus - I'm sure they'll upload one for 2013-2014 eventually.

I'm not sure where in MySPC the Action Plan you speak of is; I didn't see anything like it when I logged in just now.

This website has a forum for TEAS testing help - https://allnurses.com/teas-exam-help/.

I think the ATI signature page is something we will get when we sit for our ATI testing. I signed up for the ATI test on 8/7 from 1-5 p.m. I also signed up for all three of the workshops being offered.

I don't really have any good contact names/numbers for you. Are you calling the main HEC number? Maybe try the number for the nursing program advisers that is on the contact info sheet we got in our orientation folders (if you haven't already). I'd probably get frustrated if I couldn't reach anyone on the phone and end up driving down there to talk to someone in person.

Thank you...I'm just going to go to the school and ask in person. When you log into MYSPC, in the status section, under "To-do Lists".... Mine says "Create an Action Plan" 7/30/2013, then it says "Complete an Action Plan" 8/19/2013. I just don't know what this is or what I am supposed to do. I guess just another question that I need to add to my list. Yeah I think Im going to wait on printing the syllabus, thanks

mommytothree,

There is a downloadable "action plan" in Certifiedprofile but I do not see one in MySPC.

Question to all:

Will our student ID's be the same as the "general" student ID's or will get one from HEC that specifies we are nursing students?

Has anyone got one yet?

Also, I am still waiting on finial aid. Is anyone else? I have called 3 times since June and they just keep saying there is nothing to do but wait. It is starting to cut it awfully close though. Has anyone had better luck in person or will I get the same answer and just waste gas?

Highwaygirl.... I got my questions answered Thank You. She said that the confirmation email that we received when we signed up for the ATI test is not to be uploaded...even though it says "Put this in your portfolio"... She confirmed that we will get a signature page once we are done with the test, and that is what we upload.

As for the Action Plan... She said that will be taken care of the first few days of class so do nothing with that in MYSPC.

Also, not sure if you guys were aware, but I got a breakdown of the tuition as it is clearly different than the schedule of fees that we received at Orientation. The tuition includes the Lab Fees, , AND ATI Testing Fee!!!!!!! That was a nice little surprise :)

I think it shows up in MYSPC once you have registered for your ATI test date... Have you done that yet?

Yes, I registered for the 7th.

Also, about the ID cards. Yes we do need to have an HEC ID... You must have your fee schedule and then take that with you to get one. ( I am not sure where) But I do know the lady in the business office told us that in Orientation

Thanks. I thought we would have a "special" one. I think I remember someone saying that you get the ID at your main campus (Gibbs, Downtown, ect.) but for some reason I feel like it makes more sense that we would get them at HEC.
