I was THRILLED when I found out I had been moved all the way to FIRST ALTERNATE for this fall but now I'm just going CRAZY! LOL I keep my phone within 2 feet of me at all times... Peek at it every few minutes when I'm in the shower...Haha You never know when they might call right?
But this whole maybe ya will, maybe ya won't stuff is just too much! I have two little boys, do I need to have a daycare? Should I be getting ready? Part of me thinks I should plan as though I'm going to start and the other part of me thinks if I go through all of that and don't end up starting it will break my heart!!!!
I just want to know one way or the other! Sorry for the vent... Good luck to all of you that have a for sure spot this fall! Hope I'm right there with you!
Hi!!! I can only wonder if you've heard anything yet...I know we're in the EXACT same position since we've talked on other threads and I still haven't heard anything from my school except that I'm STILL #1 on the waiting lilst. I have to send in my letter requesting that I be reconsidered for spring 2010 within the next few weeks and it's the most disheartening letter to write. I hate weekends because I know they won't call on a weekend day so I'm grateful that it's Monday, but every week that passes with no call is just driving me INSANE!!
Plus it's time to start applying to programs for spring 2010 admission!! How am I supposed to know if I even NEED to apply for spring 2010?! Plus, most of the schools around here start their fall 2010 application process right after their spring 2010 applications are due, so I won't even hear back about spring 2010 before I need to start applying for fall!!!!! What a waste of money, time, and effort.
I really am praying for you. I know exactly what it feels like to be in your position and I can only hope we both get in.
Ohhh you poor thing!!!! I still haven't heard anything. Heartbreaking.... *sniff sniff* I am praying for you as well! My program doesn't have a spring class so if I don't get "the call" I'm outta luck until next fall.
I went in yesterday to pay on my bill for my summer classes and peeked my head into the nursing office just to check in. :wink2: They said it wouldn't be a bad idea to go ahead and get my shots done because all but the TB would be good next year. I think I'm going to wait until next Monday and then decide if I'm going to do that or not. 13 days till classes start! UGH!!!! lol
I just wanted to let you all know, not to give up. I was on the waiting list too and I just got accepted Friday into the BSN program and I am supper excited:yeah:. They have me registared for 7 classes AHHHHH! Now that Im in, it will take lots of praying to make it through.
I have been freaking about my shots too I don't have my records so I am going to get them again today and the Student Health Center at the school along with my phys. shots are $10 a piece, phys $20, if you have had the shots you can take a blood test to see if you immune to them for $20. Or you can go to the Health Dept. I got my Hep B there and it was $5. SO there are several options for you.
WOW! :hpygrp::ancong!::hpygrp:
I'm SOOOO HAPPY FOR YOU!
Thanks for the hope! I'm still keeping my fingers crossed. I think my sanity at this point is in knowing that what's meant to be will be. :heartbeat
15 credit hrssome of the classes are worth 2 and some are worth 3
I am taking 4 Lec. 2 Labs, 1 06:30-3:30 clinical.
Oh well 15 credits isn't so bad. :wink2: At least I hope not because if I get in, I'll be taking 15 credits as well.
Nursing Concepts 1 (5 credits)
Issues and Trends in Nursing (1 credits)
Clinical (3 credits)
Pharmacology (2 credits)
Chemistry (4 credits)
Bye bye life! lol
Well, this week is more than half over. I don't want to admit it, but I'm starting to give up hope.
I've spent a small fortune on shoes and scrubs and school supplies... I guess somehow I thought doing all that would make it more real but I am starting to think I was just keeping myself busy while I was waiting. Seems to me that if someone was going to give up their spot they would have done so by now? I don't know... Technically I still have 7 days that they could call. Only time will tell...

Don't give up hope, my school still has not acepted everyone yet there are still some holes in my class. She told me that the people that was accepted has not handed in their paper stating they accept their position. If they don't get the paper back by the 20th they will start calling more people. I think it is crazy because school starts on the 24th and it is not giving people alot of time to plan. I don't think it is right for someone to just hold on to the paper and not turn it in if they are not going to attend, because they are taking a spot that someone really want's. You should come to my school and you will get in.

My school holds orientation in March and everyone has to give them their papers at that time. There have been a lot of people to back out but I can't help but feel like if they were going to, they would have done so by now. But I totally agree with you! It's wrong of people to wait till the very last minute to make up their minds when they know there are so many people waiting to get in! All I can do is pray and pray! If I don't hear something this week it's going to kill me!!! lol
Do you have an electronic registration system? If so, you could watch the system for the nursing classes, and see if there is an open spot. It might help pass the time, and also let you know if there is a straggler.
My schools hard deadline was Monday, but the program starts in one month. So, deadlines are sometimes just for the stragglers, as I was an alternate and notified when the stragglers did not have the paperwork in on time. I believe they are still working on filling the last 5 spots that are not filled, but I am not positive (however, they have had 2 spots filled in the last 2 days).
