I was THRILLED when I found out I had been moved all the way to FIRST ALTERNATE for this fall but now I'm just going CRAZY! LOL I keep my phone within 2 feet of me at all times... Peek at it every few minutes when I'm in the shower...Haha You never know when they might call right? But this whole maybe ya will, maybe ya won't stuff is just too much! I have two little boys, do I need to have a daycare? Should I be getting ready? Part of me thinks I should plan as though I'm going to start and the other part of me thinks if I go through all of that and don't end up starting it will break my heart!!!! I just want to know one way or the other! Sorry for the vent... Good luck to all of you that have a for sure spot this fall! Hope I'm right there with you!

I was excited, happy ,scared everything at once .. still am lol :) Wish u the best of luck and let us know if u get the CALL!!!!!
Thank you SO much! I really am hopeful that I will get in. I just wish I knew for sure! If I get moved in the day classes start I will be a mess! Haha I need some time to prep myself mentally and physically!!

I completely feel your pain!!! But at least you know what number alternate you are. My school doesn't tell you what number. I talked to the admissions coordinator about applying for the Spring...I had already given up on the Fall...and she told me I was so close that I may get in still this semester. I was like...OMG are you serious???@!!? The horrible thing is she never emailed me back and went on vaca for 3 weeks. Now I'm sitting here in agony, I don't know what I should do. I don't wanna buy stuff then have to return it, but I also don't want to wait til last minute. I also have a 2 year old and need to give her daycare my schedule...and MAN its making me crazy!!!!! I am taking a CPR class on Monday tho..just in case. I hope you hear something soon. When does school start for you??

I went ahead and took CPR in June "just in case" and I've pretty much decided that I'm going to get into the mindset that I'm going to start. I would rather be too prepared than not prepared enough!! lol Plus my school seems pretty optimistic that I will start although she is always careful to add, "...but remember I can't promise you anything!" That does really stink that they wont tell you your spot!!! I would be losin it if I didn't know all summer what spot I was in!!!! You will have to be sure and keep in touch with me! Let me know when you find out what's up! I have enough HOPE for all of us! :heartbeat

At my school they say there are ALWAYS people who get accepted and can't fulfill their place due to extenutating circumstances. I say, yes, definately get daycare and all that jazz lined up!! Good luck!!

Ditto ! The day care is very imporant. Around here good daycares are hard to get into. When does your school start ? If you still have a couple of weeks chances are you might get in. Good Luck ! And prayers for you. And try to stay calm. I know easy said then done !!!
Thank you! My hubby and I actually took the boys to some daycare/preschool open houses today. I'm still really hopeful but every day that goes by with no call puts a little cloud of doubt over my head! I'm just going to keep praying that they call soon! :heartbeat
School starts August 24th but I believe the nursing office told me that last year they were still moving people into the program the first couple days of school!!!! I guess as a non-traditional student, I'm just really praying it doesn't come to that! (Because of my kids and so on) Of course I will be thrilled to get my spot whenever they call and I have finally decided that if it's meant to be, it will be! In the mean time, I'm brushing up on my math skills and doing some deep cleaning..ya know, just in case!

I was #19 on my accel BSN program's wait/alternate list, and got in. If #19 can get in, certainly the #1 alternate will hopefully get in.
Good luck!
You still have a couple of weeks. So hang in there ! Lot's of things happen in peoples lifes , and they have to drop out. I think it's a great idea that you are brushing up on your math skills. There is alot of great sites here that can help you get started with nursing med calculations. Check them out. And also I think it's a great idea to give your house a good cleaning. I don't know about you but with me I find it hard to study when my house is a mess. Are you done with your pre's yet ? If you are that helps alot. You can devote all your time to nursing classes. Good Luck ! I hope and pray you get in !!!
