Published

I was THRILLED when I found out I had been moved all the way to FIRST ALTERNATE for this fall but now I'm just going CRAZY! LOL :clown: I keep my phone within 2 feet of me at all times... Peek at it every few minutes when I'm in the shower...Haha You never know when they might call right? :D But this whole maybe ya will, maybe ya won't stuff is just too much! I have two little boys, do I need to have a daycare? Should I be getting ready? Part of me thinks I should plan as though I'm going to start and the other part of me thinks if I go through all of that and don't end up starting it will break my heart!!!! :banghead: I just want to know one way or the other! Sorry for the vent... Good luck to all of you that have a for sure spot this fall! Hope I'm right there with you! :yeah:

Hi Ladies, I just found this thread. I wish I would have found it earlier.

02bnrn, sorry you didn't make it in for this fall, but Congratulations on

Fall 2010!!!

Bluechick112, don't give up hope. A miracle happened for me today. I originally received a rejection letter in May. I wrote a letter explaining my educational history which isn't reflected on my transcripts. After two months and three more letters (including a handwritten letter to the admission chair), I was added to the waitlist. I called the school everyday. It turns out I was the second person on the waitlist. I was told I may have a chance if someone didn't show up for orientation. Well, a week before orientation, I was told the Dean decided it was too late for anyone to be accepted. I wrote another letter to the Chair. The day after she received the letter, I received an email explaining no one gave up their seat. I wrote another letter, this time to the Dean. The lovely secretary, who we refer to as "Angel," and whom I've spoken to twice a day since May was really pushing for me. One person dropped out at the orientation. Three days before school start???!!!! You didn't know any sooner ???!!!! Those seats are precious!!!! The Dean insisted it was too late, but it's never to late for God to do his work. The "Angel" reminded the chair that a seat was available and asked if they could give me the seat. The Chair said she would see what she could do. Well, this morning I found out.....I'VE BEEN ACCEPTED!!!! I won't be starting on the 31st. I've been accepted into the evening schedule which begins January. What I've forgot to mention is.......between those letters and phone calls, there were tons of prayer by me and my friends.

Don't give up hope, keep your faith, and know....we always end up where we belong.

Good luck ladies, I wish you the best.

Wow, Honeycutts, that's quite the perseverance. Congratulations on starting in January!

A very big congrats :)

I can't tell you how many e-mails I've sent out. I went in for a drop in appointment last Tuesday just to try and prove how serious I am about getting in for fall. Unfortunately nothing worked...

I still haven't received a phone call. They said a spot would probably open after orientation, but if it did it was yet again given away to someone who knows somebody of importance there since I did not receive a call.

They said they would still call on Monday if someone doesn't show up to the first day, but that the idea of someone not showing up was very unlikely. So I guess that once again I have to say GOODBYE to the idea of starting in fall. I put in my application for spring start, so I'll keep my fingers crossed!

If you must say goodbye, don't say so until Monday evening. Thoughts are powerful.

Good luck to you!

No, nothing :(

I've also accepted it and really I'm okay with it. It's so frustrating to have been SO close (as you well know), but I'm glad we got to share the experience together and knew we weren't the only ones going through this!

I just got an e-mail saying they received my intent to enroll for spring 2010 and admission notifications will go out in october/november. So...i'll keep my fingers crossed! And congrats on your guaranteed fall 2010 admission! :)

Wow I'm sorry you didn't get accepted. I've been following your time on the wait list with SM and I was kind of disappointed you didn't get in. I hope you get in in the Spring- which you probably will :p
