Spring 2011 UT Health Sciences Nursing Hopefuls

Published

I am a UT Houston hopeful applying for the traditional and accelerated nursing program. I will complete my science prereqs (A&P 1/2) in the summer. I will finish up with Micro and Chem in the fall. I am so focused right now. Anyone else out there? :)

Do you mean that you just found out that you have to take it before the spring semester ? You can do it! Take it in a mini term at a CC and it shouldn't be that hard.

the cc i registered for ends on jan 10.

spring starts on jan10

Has Winter Mini started yet? If it hasn't, you can still get a full refund, can't you?

I can. going to take it at WCJC instead of hcc and if I dont get in ill save it for next semester. I should find out by registration time. It is just a hassle an another thing to worry about.

seems like i always have somethign to worry about lately....

andy did u go to HCC?

and does anyone else have an interview after oct 1?

Are classes for the Spring set to start Jan 10th or 11th?

there are some people who still have interview after oct. 1.. i heard

I went to U of H Main Campus... and U of H Clear Lake... and San Jacinto South Campus. Man... I read all of you on here freaking out about getting accepted (or rejected) and I think, "No point in stressing out. For those of us who have already interviewed, there's nothing else we can do. Plus, it's not the end of the world if you don't get in this semester. Just try again next semester." Then somehow that conversation with myself leads to me freaking out... Good game guys.

I'm actually worried about getting the loans and financial aid stuff in order by the time classes start. I can't start that process until I get accepted into a school, and by then I'll only have one month left to do all that. I'm a second degree student, so loans are my only option, and I hope I can get that approved and done in one month's time!

Hmm... I thought that all we had to do was add UT Health Science Center at Houston and UT MD Anderson School of Health Professions to our list of schools on our FAFSA. Then turn in a Direct Loan Master Promissory Note after we get accepted? Is there something else we have to do? I got all of this from http://sfs.uth.tmc.edu/fa_docs/apply_now_1011.pdf

Don't worry, many of the students in my class (entered spring 2010) had enough turn around time to get everything in order from when they were accepted (although it was pretty a pretty crazy break). If you think about it, you'll really have about 2 and a half months to get everything in order since you will probably get acceptance packages in early november. I graduated december 17th or so with my first bachelors and then had 3 or 4 weeks to move back home and start a new school.

I'm a second degree as well and I was able to get loans for another school. I wouldn't worry about it too much. I would fill out the the FAFSA and then if you are accepted it's one less thing you have to do.

Thanks! That's good to hear. Now I just have to worry about getting accepted lol.

andyngu - why would you put down UT MD Anderson School of Health Professions to your list of schools on the FAFSA?

I can probably answer that for him. You want to put your current and prospective schools so they have fin aid info
