U.S.A. Texas

I am a UT Houston hopeful applying for the traditional and accelerated nursing program. I will complete my science prereqs (A&P 1/2) in the summer. I will finish up with Micro and Chem in the fall. I am so focused right now. Anyone else out there? :)

Specializes in Hematology/Oncology.
Awfully quiet in here....just making sure we all still have nails and hair left. We still have a few more wks of this waiting...:uhoh3:

i keep looking at this like 3-4 times a day. wondering if something has changed or someone got an acceptance email. even though its a month away

andyngu - why would you put down UT MD Anderson School of Health Professions to your list of schools on the FAFSA?

I put it down just in case. Doesn't hurt to put it on there I figured. Funny how everyone just completely stopped posting here after the initial interviews.

This waiting is horrible...I keep imagining what the letter will say......:dzed:

So does anyone know when the official last interview dates are?

This Friday is the last day they are interviewing :) iam so happy it's done but gosh they will only select 80 people.... I hope everyone good luck and relax and don't worry... You tried ur best and there is nothing in our hands anymore... If we don't get in this time then it's not the end of the world we can always apply again :)

@NAM123- thank you. thank you. How exciting. I agree with you. I am prepared for applying again, it is worth the wait. Good Luck to all who had their interviews.

yea i should be getting ready when i think about it.

they can actually extend your application i believe.

why dont we talk about something else.

like does everyone know which ward/area they would want to work in?

personally I am not sure but I want to know I want to give hospice a try.

I want to be able to be there for the people that are about to die and make sure they have comfortable last moments. I say I want to give it a try cause I dont want to be there or I will be depressed all the time. I want to do it for a little bit just to help people out.

They do extend your application which is great! I didn't get accepted the first go around and now I'm in the running for acceptance. It's not that bad being rejected, it only hurts a bit. :)

My aunt has been a hospice nurse for over 30 years. She is truly an amazing person. When ever she is around you just feel calm, like everything will be ok. I was considering hospice as well to see if I could do it.

Since I work for a cancer hospital I'd also like to try Oncology.

It's great to know they extend the application! That makes it way easier to reapply. I am almost positive I want to do something working with infants/children. I have been bouncing back and forth between labor and delivery, NICU, or pediatrics. My goal is to hopefully work in a Children's hospital.

Does anyone know if you can use a Mac with Ut nursing school? I know they said in the questionaire that they weren't Mac compatible, but in prior threads I've read that you can use a Mac. Not so much a big deal, I've used PC for years...but really, really want to go Mac. Anyone else checking there Ut link everyday? I know it won't change, but I can't help it!!!

From what i've heard you can make the mac compatible. I myself have a mac and check utlink on it

That's good to know. Thanks for the info!
