Spring 2017 TCC Nursing Students

Published

Starting thread for TCC nursing students submitting application in a few weeks for the Spring 2017 semester ADN program. Personally, I have followed and watched and reviewed entrances over the year and it changes upon fall and spring semesters and the amount of applicants. I will be applying with two A's in A&P and Micro and a B in A&P2, so my GPA is a 3.6.... My first HESI score is a 87.5. I have seen acceptance with this, and have contemplated retaking HESI just to see if I do any different.

Comment and ask any questions and I hope to see you all in Spring!

I am already looking into my other options as well. I think we just need to stop overthinking it. What will be, will be and all we can do is wish for the best! And if that doesn't happen, just try harder.

For sure!!! And drink plenty of margaritas in the meanwhile!!

I know exactly how you are feeling! I am currently finishing my A&P 2 class and I think I will end up getting a B. I'm super stressed out and afraid to get my hopes up! It's crazy how hard we all work for this! This program is so competitive!!:arghh:

I am sure you will get in. Don't stress it.

Hello my fellow stressing friends.

I will be applying with a 90 percentile on my HESI and a 3.67. 2 A'S and 1 B.

Hopefully it is enough. Regardless, stressed until the 15th.

Hi Carco001, your chances are pretty high, with a high GPA and 90 HESI.. I think I am about to channel my stress in the gym. lol

Hey!

I basically have the exact same scores as you, but I got an 89 on the HESI. I'm so stinking nervous, but I guess what will be, will be.

Thank you for your words. I'm thinking the gym should be used at all times regardless. Keep the stress down. We need to stay distracted people.

Me too. I feel like....3 A's would of been better haha. We will roll the dice. No changing anything at this point.

Yeah you guys go to the gym while i sit here and stress eat! :sarcastic:

Not sure if directed to me or someone else. Im learning this post and forum thing. Ill be submitting package this week with 3.6 GPA hesi of 90 and critical thinking 950. So I hope I am safe there in my scores. Did anyone submit titers for their immunizations? And did you have doctor sign off still?

Sorry, it was supposed to be in respond to another post, not sure how that happened lol but yes, your scores are excellent!

I did titers on a few of my immunizations so I'm hoping getting them to sign off on everything isn't a big hassle. I plan on going by the clinic today to get that taken care of

Lol dont fret....just do the best you can and ride the wave of life, its all you can do. Stress is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do but doesnt get you anywhere!

My package will go in on Monday. I have day off from surgery and everything finalized! Yayyyy! I used to feel all panicky and stressed out...I was that way this entire past year. I had a 4.0 til this past AP 2 class and I had surgery and missed a test and cldnt make it up so I got a B. I was so down on myself and felt i failed. Its the only B i have. I make myself excel in everything, i have perfectionist issues lol. I think most of us in the medical field do after ive spent 8 yrs living this life ive learned much about my environment and the people in this field. We expect a lot from ourselves and the others around us. So, if you have a B...its ok. You can still get in. Focus on the goal not the grade.

Will be turning mine in on Tuesday! Just ready to have that weight off of my shoulders at the very least.
