Spring 2017 TCC Nursing Students

Published

Starting thread for TCC nursing students submitting application in a few weeks for the Spring 2017 semester ADN program. Personally, I have followed and watched and reviewed entrances over the year and it changes upon fall and spring semesters and the amount of applicants. I will be applying with two A's in A&P and Micro and a B in A&P2, so my GPA is a 3.6.... My first HESI score is a 87.5. I have seen acceptance with this, and have contemplated retaking HESI just to see if I do any different.

Comment and ask any questions and I hope to see you all in Spring!

I'm turning my packet in on Thursday!!! I just have to wait for the final grades for my a&p 2 to be posted!! :) We will only have to wait about a month to hear back for acceptance!! :)

I give you major props girl for managing studying for the HESI and A&P at the same time!

Thank you so much! It honestly has been incredibly challenging! Especially since the a&p 2 course is only a 5 wk class! I literally have quizzes and exams every week! I'm SO ready for it to be OVER!:dead:

Hey guys!!!

I am a foundations student that just got accepted for the Fall 2016 program. My scores were 2 As and 1 C and a 95 hesi. I know someone else that had 1 A and 2 B and a 92 hesi and she was accepted as well. They also are taking more students than the normal 130. My class they took 180 and will start taking that amount for future classes. Good luck to you all!

Yes i literally just saw last night in the online information session that they accept 150-170! That's awesome! Thank you for the information.

Your welcome!!!

They have to accept at least 170 new students now so the minimum is 170 they will take for spring.

Have you seen much acceptance with 2 A's 1 B and an 89 HESI with 950 critical thinking?

Also, how do you like the program so far??

The standard rumor and acceptance is if you have a 3.3gpa you need to have a 95 Hesi to have a good chance to be accepted. If you have a 3.6gpa it's 87 or above and into 90s Hesi and you're accepted. If you have 4.0gpa it's automatic acceptance as long as you have above 80 Hesi.

You should be fine!!! I think a few people had lower scores and got in. School starts on the 29th so we haven't started class yet.

thats true. My GPA was 3.3 and Hesi 95 and someone else had a 92 was accepted. A lady in my clinical group was an alternate (was eventually accepted) with 3.6 or 3.3 GPA and a 86 hesi.

OMG, this makes me more nervous.. I have a 3.6 and 85.5 HESI, I think I need to stop checking and just ride this out. I claim this and will believe it. Good luck again guys. I'll be back to post if I get in or not.
