Spring 2017 TCC Nursing Students

Published

Starting thread for TCC nursing students submitting application in a few weeks for the Spring 2017 semester ADN program. Personally, I have followed and watched and reviewed entrances over the year and it changes upon fall and spring semesters and the amount of applicants. I will be applying with two A's in A&P and Micro and a B in A&P2, so my GPA is a 3.6.... My first HESI score is a 87.5. I have seen acceptance with this, and have contemplated retaking HESI just to see if I do any different.

Comment and ask any questions and I hope to see you all in Spring!

You can just show up to the nursing office anytime between 8-5 to turn in your application

Awesome, I'll be turning my packet in on the 29th after class! So sorry to be a pest - is the nursing office at the Trinity or Trinity East location?

Trinity River East! All of the information is on the TCC website nursing page

Hi guys! I am so excited to finally see this thread! I just applied to TCC as well with a 3.6 science GPA (2A's, 1B) and an 87.5% on the HESI. Everyone has such good scores...this is making me a nervous wreck!!

Meagan, did you submit your application today?

Yessum application was submitted on Monday!

Hey y'all! I turn in my application tomorrow but I am a NERVOUS wreck.

I have a 4.0 science GPA & HESI score of 87 with 850 CT. I don't feel like it's good enough.. I had 2 hours of sleep before the HESI (the storms kept waking me up and my nerves were frazzled) and my worst part was the Vocab. I shouldn't have made the percentage I did for Vocab but it is what it is! I could have easily made a 90, so I'm mad at myself. I hope it's enough to get in though!!!!!

I doubt anyone with a 4.0 has ever been denied! You will be fine girl.

What did you make on critical thinking? I was proud of my CT score since I don't have medical background!

ahhh, so you did better than I did. Well good job! I pray it's good enough for us! I know this is a competitive program so it just makes me so nervous.

They aren't using critical thinking section for anything official according to the lady when I turned in package on Monday. I scored perfect 1000/1000 points with 2 out of 4 sections on it and overall 950 out of 1000 points, and it's not being used for anything. They are just checking it out for now to estimate knowledge base I suppose and use as a tie breaker for acceptance.
