    Nothing to be sorry about. I wasn't even applying. I joined the forum to offer moral support to my girlfriend, who did get accepted. I am already a nursing student at a different school. Maybe our clinical paths will cross though.

  6. Nurses who don't have the "passion"

    I started a BSN program after leaving the military, where I worked as a medic. Nursing seemed like a logical career progression. I am scheduled to graduate next year, and to be totally honest, I am not convinced that I will pursue a nursing career.
  7. Is it normal that my school doesn't teach us IVs?

    My school teaches IVs and Foleys, both of which are pretty simple procedures. I get asked if I can/ want to start IVs while at clinical pretty frequently.

    This is the hardest part of the whole process. It gets significantly easier once you are actually in the program.
  9. Care plan books..yes or no?

    My care plan book was on the list of "required" books and it is one of the few I actually use(d). The over whelming majority of books that we are "required" to have see little to no use at all.
