I know that it's VERY early right now to start gearing up for the Spring 2016 admission but I thought I'd start this post early seeing as I have already started taking my final classes, preparing to take the Hesi A2 test and submitting all my other documents for the program. If all goes well, I will be between 30 and 34 points. How many points do you think you'll be at when it's time to apply for the 2016 spring entry? What's the lowest score that they have accepted for previous entries? Are there any single mothers, such as I, who will be applying for the nursing program? Hope to hear more from others who are getting ready to join. Would love to get lots of feedback!!!!!
I was waitlisted for fall 2015, and will be hoping that they call me. I applied with 26pts, but will be reapplying with 30pts for spring 2016. I wish everyone luck in this journey. It has been one heck of a ride! :-) good luck to everyone, and keep retaking the hesi if you don't get a desired score that you wanted.
There are other places you can retake the hesi, if you don't get a spot in elcentro before the deadline. Last
year when I took mine, elcentro was filled up, so I had to drive down to grayson college in addison to go take the hesi. Well I hope we all get in! :-)
Aww! I have been so busy with the semester that just ended. Is still not late to make that move! You can Google grayson college hesi calendar, and go from there. They give you 6 hrs to take the test. :-)
yeah i saw that! Gonna pay more money but at this point I don't care. i just want to make a better score lol
I finally got to take my Hesi this morning. I made a 91.2 overall, so I'm pretty happy with that. I didn't do as well in A&P as I had hoped (80%) but I haven't studied anything from A&P 1 since fall semester, and there was quite a bit of that on there. So it looks like I should earn 9 out of the possible 12 points for the Hesi section of the application. I have another Hesi scheduled for July 11th but I'm debating on even going. With nutrition in Maymester, I need a break!! Lol

I would go anyway just to compare scores. I'm signed up to take the hesi in Denison (way away from here) and I will sign up for the North Lake one when it opens on June 22 for July 14. Even if I do well on the second one, I will have my options open for which scorecard I want to use.
If anyone is still looking for a good place to get their CPR certification done, I just got mine at Texas Heart CPR Training.. It was $35 and they have a location in Dallas and one in Plano. The instructor was great, I'd highly recommend them.
I'm thinking I may go with them as well. How long was the class?
I heard from El C and I definitely to not have to retake my hesi. I am so excited. I'll get 10 of the 12 points. I am not retaking it. I made 100 on the math and 92 on AP and I don't think I could pull that off again. I'm in 1204 and 1202 right now and 2 more classes start in June. I'm ready for July 13th, when I hand my application to the bridge in and can be done but hopefully only for 5 months!
