Spring 2016 El Centro College/ NLC ADN

Published

I know that it's VERY early right now to start gearing up for the Spring 2016 admission but I thought I'd start this post early seeing as I have already started taking my final classes, preparing to take the Hesi A2 test and submitting all my other documents for the program. If all goes well, I will be between 30 and 34 points. How many points do you think you'll be at when it's time to apply for the 2016 spring entry? What's the lowest score that they have accepted for previous entries? Are there any single mothers, such as I, who will be applying for the nursing program? Hope to hear more from others who are getting ready to join. Would love to get lots of feedback!!!!!

What would be a good test score? The first time i took the exam i scored a 78. Im going to retake it just need to touch up on grammar which was my lowest. Not too worried in math and AP.

Application submitted with 30 points, good luck everyone! For the anatomy Hesi section I would make sure you know hormones pretty well. That's what I had a lot of. Also anatomical positions of organs (superior, posterior, anterior, etc.) . Just take your time and really break each question down, the first time I took the Hesi I failed the anatomy portion with a 69 and the second time I got a 94! Just have to really focus on the question and you will be able to eliminate wrong answers.

Hi Lnduke81,

I was just wondering if you could tell me more about the UTA academic partnership.

I did terrible on the anatomy Hesi part but I passed all the other parts....This sucks so now I have to find somewhere else to retake it.

Dereka_21 Im sorry to hear that, what kind of questions did you get for AP?

it was about hormones mainly and i did not study those parts but i am going to another school to retake it tuesday...Im just going to study study study

Dereka_21 I tried looking for other schools, where did you manage to register at?

You can look into grayson college. I guess they have an upcoming date for monday. So you only have today and tomorrow, basically. Good luck!

I took my HESI at a 3rd party company, I did have to pay more but it was pretty last minute so I am okay with that. Scored a 92% overall which is great but I don't think I'm going to get in this time around because even with that I only have 25 points. I am going to take the HPRS classes this fall and hopefully with that and another support course it'll be enough. Pretty disappointing though.

Keep going! At least you know you're not that far off.

Hey guys I'm new here and I'm turning in my application in person tomorrow morning. Does anyone know if we are supposed to write on the envelope or anything? Or should I just leave the outside blank since I'm not mailing it.

Thank you!

I put my name in the upper left and the office information in the middle, as if I were mailing it. I'm not sure if it matters. Then I just signed in at the desk as to why I was there and you drop it off in the drop box.
