Spring 2016 El Centro College/ NLC ADN

Published

I know that it's VERY early right now to start gearing up for the Spring 2016 admission but I thought I'd start this post early seeing as I have already started taking my final classes, preparing to take the Hesi A2 test and submitting all my other documents for the program. If all goes well, I will be between 30 and 34 points. How many points do you think you'll be at when it's time to apply for the 2016 spring entry? What's the lowest score that they have accepted for previous entries? Are there any single mothers, such as I, who will be applying for the nursing program? Hope to hear more from others who are getting ready to join. Would love to get lots of feedback!!!!!

Did you just reply to their email or did you resubmit through the elcentro/sentry md email address?

I resubmitted, but not the whole application, just what I was missing

PD82,

Thanks, I went ahead and resubmitted to their main email address. Hopefully I will hear back soon.

Hey guys i have a question when i pay the $15 on sentry will the receipt be sent to my email or do i have to print it off right then? I dont have a printer at home.

And how do i make it one pdf? I would like to submit this stuff tonight.

Where do you find the info to register for Hesi at Northlake? I can only find Hesi schedule thru ELCentro

I printed it off right when I received PayPal confirmation. You can save as a PDF in the print function. The print function has options (usually on bottom left of screen) for saving documents. PDFs, JPegs, etc.

I am a single Mom and have taken all the science and prerequisite classes, as well as 8 BS/BSN classes (history, govt, speech, sociology, etc) and the max support classes I can at this point. I've taken the Hesi, both HPRS classes (1202,1204) and have a 4.0 GPA. I'm hoping to get in with a 29. I still need to take College Algebra, humanities, and get the school to accept my advanced writing classes as a substitute for Comp II and a previous statistics class from my MBA program. I was hoping a maxed out GPA would pull more weight than it does, but the number of classes you've taken previously towards a BS degree has greater weight. Sigh! Good Luck with your application.

Random question- for the BSN courses that earn bonus points, does the grade have to be a "C" or better? The info packet does not specify.

I have a History class from a while back that I got a D in so it's just wishful thinking lol

PD82- all classes must be completed with a 'C' or better. I'm repeating my psych 2314 now because I got a D in it.

Sent all my documents in to Sentry this morning and they responded in a few hours......Application was incomplete because I forgot to send my CPR Card......DANG! Do anyone know if I have to resend everything or just the cpr card?

Mine was incomplete because of my TB test not showing induration. I sent in just the part that they needed last monday and have yet to hear back. So take that for what it's worth. I'm questioning if I should resubmit my whole packet.

@dereka & @chief - I only resubmitted the documents that were missing. It's probably starting to get busy - I would give it another few days.
