Spring 2016 El Centro College/ NLC ADN

Published

I know that it's VERY early right now to start gearing up for the Spring 2016 admission but I thought I'd start this post early seeing as I have already started taking my final classes, preparing to take the Hesi A2 test and submitting all my other documents for the program. If all goes well, I will be between 30 and 34 points. How many points do you think you'll be at when it's time to apply for the 2016 spring entry? What's the lowest score that they have accepted for previous entries? Are there any single mothers, such as I, who will be applying for the nursing program? Hope to hear more from others who are getting ready to join. Would love to get lots of feedback!!!!!

Well damn - now I'm nervous about the new requirements. I hope this doesn't affect our chances of getting accepted.

I know right.....im freakin out

They need to tell the sentry people that.....my application says incomplete because of that. I got a 2nd Hep A to fix it.

You may want to check on that because you only need the first one to apply.

You may see if your doctor offers the twinrix Hepatitis vaccination. It has both mixed together in one injection. So when you get your initial, second 1 month later, and 3rd at 6 months, it will cover both. I've received the first two so far. Unknowingly, I'm kind of glad they gave it to me that way to clear up the type B or type A confusion.

I hope my titers will be okay.

Okay, thanks :) It says on the Fall 2015 packet that HPRS 1204 is no longer a required prerequisite so I didn't think that was a new change

@miss_kingslayer Yes that's true but I'm assuming that soon when the one year limit expires on the HPRS classes they won't be counted for points anymore, at all.

Yeah you're probably right!

Does anyone know about how long it took Sentry MD to get back with you once you submitted additional documents? I sent my initial package this past Saturday and heard back from them on Monday stating I needed a TB test that showed mm of induration. I responded to that email the same day with a fax from my doctor and have yet to hear back. I'm guessing that's what I should have done and not submitted the paperwork again as one file??

It's just weird that they initially responded so fast, and now are taking several days...

chief76- I submitted my second Hep A Monday evening and got a "application complete " response the very next day. Maybe the applications are really starting to pick up now...?

Did you just reply to their email or did you resubmit through the elcentro/sentry md email address?
