Now that January is here, I thought I'd start a thread where we can support and encourage each other through our Spring semester, similar to our Fall thread, but with a bit more chit chat. What's your schedule look like? Any other goals you're working on?
I go back on the 17th, though I have a Phi Theta Kappa meeting on the 13th.
My schedule is:
A&P II
Microbio
Federal Government
World Religions
The last two are online.
Right now I'm trying to lose this holiday weight, so I've started running again (it burns). I graduate at the end of this year! In December I'll have my EMT-B certification and my Associates of Science in Biology. I'll also be applying to nursing school (application deadline is August 1), so it's going to be a really exciting (busy) year for me! I'm hoping to use my EMT-B cert to become an ED tech during the summers.
I look forward to chatting with you guys this semester!
AMAZING !!!! You are a science machine .. lol!
Haha Thanks! It's actually not that bad taking Micro, A&P, and Chem together. And I also work 2 jobs. I just make sure I plan ahead in terms of homework and if I do feel like I need to study/review a bit more than just the day before/of an exam (which is what I normally do haha), I take flashcards with me to my job at the hospital.
hi!My name is Jinny and I am new to this website and came across this thread. Are you planning on attending UMHB nurisng Fall 2017?
If i am accepted then I will be there and I will also be living off campus and may need a roommate.
Goodluck in all you do!
I'm not sure who you're addressing in this post?
So I failed my A&P II lab exam (67) - I made the dumbest mistakes and I think I just got way too cocky. My teacher was so worried about me and gave me a big hug. I put left for right, or named things "left common carotid" but left off artery. Just really silly things that I should know better about at this point. I was really upset, but I hope I can learn something from this and get my act together for our test over the lymphatic/respiratory/urinary systems in two weeks!
Hope everyone is making better grades than me!

Sorry! I thought I was replying to someone but I didn't know you had to quote to directly reply! Lol but I think you'll bounce back on your next A&P 2 test! Maybe just take a little more time with what it's asking. I just took my lab test and got an 80 which I was kind of surprised by, because I thought I did a little better. But on my lecture test our teacher is new (I go to st. Edward's university and play softball here as well) so she is still trying to figure out the best way to put the tests together and to make a review that best fits the test. So I think I need to focus more on reading the book (I got a 75 on the first lecture test) and I think I'll be okay.
I haven't read through all of this thread and sorry if I'm intruding. Are you planning on attending UMHB if you've applied?
thanks!

You're not intruding at all :)
I'm further south than you, so I'm looking into UT Health or an online program.
