I really dunno how to support my friends anymore, Cariads DH has been undergoing terrible health issues since September last year. When they discovered he had CAD he had 2 stents placed and at the smae time had to have a bone replaced in his neck otherwise he could have been paralised because of the damage in that area.
He continued to have cardiac type pain returned to his cardiologist in December where he repeated his stress test and was told there was nothing wrong with his heart, and to stop being anxious. The pain's continued until february when he was readmitted into hospital because the pains in his heart were so bad he couldn't stand it, he had a cath which showed the stents had blocked off and an new one needed stenting so three more stents were placed. He has continued to complain of pain in the heart and was readmitted to the hospital yesterday.
Meanwhile Cariad has continued to work full time to ensure they can pay their mortgage, continued studying for her BSN otherwise the hospital will want the money back they have invested into her, ran the house, paid the bills, looked after two demented cats and been a good friend. And of last but not least looked after her husband alone.
So what I am asking you all to do is send good vibes and support to one of our own here at allnurses, and see if we can collectively help to turn their luck into something positive and help Cariad feel supported. :redbeathe
It is ok,my prayers are sent with love and affection...to be honest I am not English, but Italian.I live in London and I have truly appreciate the help of the people on this website. Some of which have helped me to achieve my dream.... I have recently been offered a place at University on an Adult Nursing course, which I shall start in September.
I believe in the power of prayers and if you truly wish for something,it will happen....prayers have helped me a lot through very difficult times and I am sure the power of prayers will help you as well.
God bless you always.

dh and i are overwhelmed with all the support on here, we are truly part of a worldwide community,,,,just what i am studying in school !
[color=#483d8b]the update is that we have been back to the cardiologist, told him that we are being advised to go elsewhere, he laid the cards on the table, dh needs open heart but because of his back injury cannot have it until he is fit to recover and rehab from it. the ortho guy wont operate until 12 months post stents, so our options are to keep him safe for the next 12-18 months. he added in a new pill specifically for patients whose angina cannot be controlled with all the usual pills. its only been approved by the fda for 12 months and has its own side effects as usual.
