Just curious, but what is your overall GPA? Not the program GPA, but overall.

SPC does not factor in the overall GPA, I believe only universities do

It's confusing that each school has different entry requirements and prereq classes. It took me a while to really figure it all out.

So if over 90 people have a program GPA of 4.0, plus Pinellas County residency and 30 of 30 program credits completed, what do they look at next? I'm sure it has to be overall GPA.

I just think they haven't ever had that issue, but I know HCC uses overall GPA as a tie breaker to admit applicants and HCC tells applicants that. Maybe overall GPAs are used at SPC to decide the order of applicants on the alternate list, but it's strange this cycle alternates had not been given what number they are on the list. Really wish I knew.

I'm just saying because I've seen a few people in here with a 4.0, Pinellas County residency, and 30/30 credits completed that did not get in, yet people with a lower GPA did. This leads me to believe they looked at overall GPA.

I had a 3.76 but my overall is 3.9 and weighted is 3.875 or something because ive dropped 2 classes.. and got 2x w

You had a 3.76 program GPA, but a 3.9 overall GPA? How does that happen? Did you get into the program?

Because program specific classes i had 3 Bs but i have 62 credits overall and with only 3 Bs it equals a 3.9 if you weigh in the 2 withdraws then it causes it to drop a little more.

I have a 3.66 and 30 out of 30 credits completed. Does anyone know the competitiveness for their spring admissions? I will be resubmitting my application tomorrow for the spring 2018 term.

The spring admissions are supposed to be easier to get into..

I had a 4.0 overall gpa 4.0 out of the admission credits and 30/30 credits. And did not get accepted. I've also been a pinellas county resident my whole life. So it literally doesn't make sense. But when I talked to an advisor she said u can have everything and not get accepted because of limited seats. So it's just stupid. And that was coming from an advisor at HEC. ts luck of the draw. There was so many 4.0 people. My application didn't say anything about being incomplete. It was complete it just said I wasn't accepted for spring. I did have 2 with draws during the past few years but when I took the two classes over I got an A but I assume they probably look at if u have withdrawn for a class even though the advisor said that wouldn't work against me. From what I hear spring is way less competitive.

I think the withdrawals is what messed you up. Doesn't that affect your completion ratio? I don't believe it's the luck of the draw at all, that would be ridiculous. People got accepted with lower GPA's, but probably didn't have the withdrawals.

In tooooooo!!!!! (3.76)

Are you going to choose the day or evening program?
