So Winter break is almost over...

How can 3 whole weeks be so darn short??? I feel like I didn't get ANYTHING done. Although I did clean and clean and clean. You can't really tell. I have projects (of the household variety) that need to be worked on, and they are still the same as they were before my break. On the bright side--I have less than a year to go WOO HOO! If only I could weasel another week of vacation in before classes....

Yep, start back on Wed the 8th.. Part of me is ready, but the other part isn't.. This is the hardest semester (3rd), so I know I am going to have to bust my butt for the next 16 weeks.. But after this semester I have one more left, so I guess the pain and sweat and stress will be worth it

Well, it has been really nice to just have work to go to, and not have class on top of it. I'd be lying if I said I accomplished all I wanted to while on vacation (maybe half of it, I think. ugh.) but to be honest, I'm also looking forward to getting back. At the end of this year, I fully expect to be toasting my graduation (passing out some of my finer cigars to close friends, etc), and starting a new career.

One more week would be nice, though. grin.

I am back on Thursday and I am truly a little nervous...nursing classes officially start that day. so far I have just taken the pre-reqs and the sciences. Thankfully, I am down to working only 1 job, 1 day a week, as a home health aide, so I can really focus on school. Last semester was hard with working 2 parttime jobs and the kids, dogs and parttime husband (he's a trucker gone most of the week) Now school will be my top priority...okay, secondary to my family....but they are adjusting slowly to the idea of mom not always being readily available.

p.s. I did get my desk cleaned off...the dust bunnies have been multiplying for 2 years behind the monitor. But the tree is still up.

I'm with you Memphispanda.........I had a whole list of things to do in order to get this house organized & as I sit here looking around today---it looks as if nothing has been done. School starts tomorrow------so it looks like the organizing will have to wait until May. :)

I can't decide if I'm ready to go back or not!

I needed this vacation SO badly! I didn't get to rest though! My husband and I bought our first house (YAY!), and we moved during the break. I also worked a lot of hours to earn soome money!

But the encouraging thing is that this is the last seventeen weeks!! Then, once I pass the N-CLEX, I can get paid to do this!!

My problem is...we only get a WEEK off in May. BLEH. There is Spring break and a one week break during summer semester, but a week doesn't cut it for getting this house clean. Ahhh well. It will all be worth it in the long run won't it? Maybe with that first check after graduation I can hire a team of maids to come in once and just get it DONE! :chuckle

Thats what I did today, spent all day cleaning so I can start classes tommorrow with my apartment clean for the last time until graduation....
