Welcome to this forum! Congratulations on passing NCLEX and securing a spot in a new grad residency program. Which specialty will you be training to work in?
Thank you! My goal is to be an ER/Trauma nurse. My residency will be in critical care. Once I have 2 years in critical care, I can then transition in to the ER fellowship program at the hospital. I'm very excited. My last semester, I had clinicals on the critical care unit where I'll be doing my nurse residency. I *loved* the nurses on that unit. They're a great team :)
Congratulations! I recently graduated tooI am in an emergency/trauma new graduate residency. It's an accomplishment being able to leave the student forums & contribute to the nurse forums
How exciting! I wish the hospital had a program for new grads in the ER. Since they're a level 1 trauma center, they require 2 years in critical care, plus an ER fellowship first. I'd love to start in the ER. I did a rotation in the ER and I just knew that's where I want to be. I loved every minute of it.

I found out today that I passed NCLEX! I'm so excited to officially join the Nurses forum :) I'll start my Nurse Residency on July 27th at the hospital where I had my clinicals. Can't wait to learn from my fellow nurses!
