So what do you absoulutely LOVE about NURSING SCHOOL ? !

with valentines day right around the corner, i thought i'd share what i love most about being in nursing school.

first: i love the fact that instead of spending the entire day with my honey, i'll be in clinical for over 8 hours taking care of all the lovely babies in the nursery.

i love how much information we get in a short period of time, and how i'm able to do well on exams when tested on it all.

i love making patients feel comfortable when the staff don't have time do all the special things us nursing student can do for them.

i love working with nurses because i can learn from them.

i love making patients smile and laugh when they are having a bad day.

i love providing comfort to patients and families when they are in despair.

i know i'm a student and sometimes its tough,but sometimes you gotta just love nursing school !

overall, i love nursing school and besides working on a post-partum unit there is no other place i'd rather be right now.

i hope everyone have a good v-day and don't forget to show your loved ones and patients how much you care about them or love them.

i am so jealous!! :heartbeat my dream has always been to work in the nursery, nicu, or peds... what semester of ns are you in?? i start rn school in august, but for now i am completing the cna program at my cc. i can't wait! i know it will be exhausting, but i am going to try my best to overcome it! my husband is very supportive, and he watches our 3 boys while i am at school~at night. he is great!! i wish you the best of luck in your classes--and have a great valentine's day! :flwrhrts:

I'm in my second semester. We are currently in OB and each one of us students get to rotate to nursery, L/D, and postpartum.

I love my husband and son who have put up with me never being home, missing my son's soccer games, never having time to cook, and having anxiety moments over grades.

I love all my nursing school friends who are so supportive when I need encouragement.

I love that even though it took me so long to get moving on my dream to be a nurse, I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. (10 more months!!)

I love going out to have margaritas with my school buddies after finals.

I love wearing scrubs (just not the white ones).

I love allnurses.com!

I love all the lifelong friends that I have made.

I love feeling more confident in clinicals with each passing week.

I love the hour drive home from school.

I love making patient's and their families smile and feel more comfortable.

I love when nursing staff has told me that they think I will be a good nurse.

I love doing IVs.

I love that I am in my last semester.

here's what i love about clinical:

Pre-conference and post-conference. Period.

Everything else in between is either boring, confusing, hurtful, or uncomfortable! Did i say boring? I can't wait to get off the floor i am on right now. I made a list of things i hate about nursing school but that is for another time. Sorry so negative -- it's been coming easy these days!

I love practice IV's and injections on my instructors

I love how no matter where you are in the program, everyone knows who you are.

I love spending all day every day with 16 girls...wait no that part sucks ha ha
