SMU (Samuel Merritt University) BSN Spring 2020

Hello everyone!!

I just wanted to start a thread for the Spring 2020 term at SMU because I know applications are due soon (July 1st), feel free to drop your stats and all of that good stuff!

hey y’all! so i applied for the Fall 2019 semester and they pushed the date back that we were supposed to hear if we got in or not by three weeks, so it’s not really surprising that they changed the date to November! hopefully they won’t push it back anymore than that. i had one pre-req in progress when i applied for Fall 2019 and i didn’t get in so hopefully i have better luck this time! good luck to everyone else too ?

@kenzie1396 Ahh, you just made me so nervous! What class did you have in-progress when you applied?

I have knots in my stomach since I didn’t receive this email haha!

I am applying for the ABSN as well and have not received an email!

I applied for the ABSN program last cycle and was put on the waitlist. I think it’s different from the regular BSN program. Last time I only got the emails letting me know i passed the preliminary evaluations and the my next email was my waitlist notification. Last time other applicants gave me the idea of signing onto the applicant portal on SMU website and then clink checklist. Last cycle it let applicants know their acceptance/waitlist/denial sooner then waiting for an email . Your login and password should be the same as your NursingCAS.

The first email ABSN received before us and I have read on other forums as well as someone mentioned here they only send one email and then the confirming email! so you are good ?

@Lety86 I tried logging in with my nursingcas info but it didnt work, is it after a certain time frame?

okay guys so she said it could be anywhere from October 15- November 1. Those two weeks are going to be sooooooooooo nerve wrecking!!

Is this for the BSN program or ABSN?
