SMU (Samuel Merritt University) BSN Spring 2020

Hello everyone!!

I just wanted to start a thread for the Spring 2020 term at SMU because I know applications are due soon (July 1st), feel free to drop your stats and all of that good stuff!

@cmerenda check your spam folders! It was an email saying they completed the preliminary review so I believe they send that to all the applicants, so do not worry or stress! The title of the email is "Thank you for Applying to Samuel Merritt University". It could also be in order of how many applications they review in a day, but you will get this email ?

@Javeria Ali when you go to the login page of the NursingCAS click on the 2018-2019 applications on the left hand side instead of logging in normally. The link should ask if you want to use your old application and it reloads everything after sometime and they send you an email once it’s completed.

I actually asked this right after the deadline and she didn’t give me a hard count, but she said around 160-ish.

@cmerenda omg I asked on July 9 and she said 120-130. more people must have applied!

Did anyone try logging into the BSN live chat today? It kept telling me that this account has been deleted and wouldn't let me join the chat, anyone else?

I tried today as well. I received the same message. I also noticed they revamped their website, maybe that’s why?

@cmerenda yeah I think so, I will email her to ask if they will be continuing it or not

Thanks for getting that info! And no email yet, ? I checked spam/junk as well. I verified my email on the application as well. I’m not quite sure because I do meet the minimum qualifications, I wonder if anyone else has not received the email as well for the BSN app.?

@cmerenda hopefully more people update on this forum, I am surprised more people are not on this forum, compared to last years forums. Maybe that just means there are fewer applicants :P. It is probably in the order of the applications they review because there are two review processes I believe. But definitely ask in the chat on Monday!
