Published

Hello everyone!!

I just wanted to start a thread for the Spring 2020 term at SMU because I know applications are due soon (July 1st), feel free to drop your stats and all of that good stuff!

Someone had asked about the question about the applications @cmerenda and she said they are still reviewing applications and they have not got to all yet!

Also there was 130 applicants

Well that is a relief! Thank you for the information. I wasn’t able to hop onto the live chat so I appreciate the update! 130 applicants sounds like good chances, so good luck to everyone! Keeping my fingers crossed for us all ??

Wow I wonder how many applied for the ABSN...

do ABSN applicants also find out in october?

I also applied! My overall GPA is around a 3.5, but HESI scores is not as great. 78%.

I applied for the Spring 2020 BSN Program with a 91.14 on the HESI. I'm not sure what my last 60 GPA is, or if there is a simple way to access it. I received an email on August 29th that the preliminary review of my application had been completed. Does anyone know when we are able to submit updates to applications regarding classes that were in progress during the application period? I completed prerequisites over the summer and was wondering. Do we need to update this information on nursingCAS or just send in updated transcripts, or both? Thanks, and best of luck to everyone!

@leyna.kyle Hey! so there was a period to input your grades into nursingcas I think that it is closed now, but it will open up again in December! Here is a link of the instructions! Best of luck ? https://www.nursingcas.org/resource/academic-update-how-to-log-final-grades-in-nursingcas/

I got an email saying the second stage has begun and that we will find out by November 1 if we got in, I thought it would have been second week of October :((( Such a long wait

I received that email today as well. I was also expecting to hear back mid-October. The waiting is exhausting!

I am going to ask in the chat if it just like a goal date and we actually hear back October. Right! I want to know ASAP and not wait hahah

I guess it’s probably not a good sign if we didn’t get that email! Lol

I’m not sure, but I wouldn’t give up hope! My application was for the BSN program in Oakland just to clarify, so I’m sure it would be different if you applied to a different program.
