Hello everyone!!

I just wanted to start a thread for the Spring 2020 term at SMU because I know applications are due soon (July 1st), feel free to drop your stats and all of that good stuff!

I’m really anxious too. I’m trying not to dwell on it too much but it’s so hard!

I’m a little bit bummed. Apparently my algebra course just expired (summer 2016 I think) so in order to qualify for spring I either need to enroll in Another algebra course for fall or CLEP out. It’s too late to enroll in courses and I glanced at the CLEP and it was really intimidating. So I’m not looking too hopeful. Its a little disappointing because it was never brought to my attention during my transcript evaluation, so I applied with confidence. Anyone else have an older algebra course too or run into recency issues?

I’m anxious as well!!! I’m hopeful to get in this time around or at least higher up on the waitlist! Although im crossing my fingers to get in this time around I still started my application for Oakland’s campus for spring 2020 just in case. Best of luck to all of you ! ?

Algebra expires after 4 years!! So you are good, dont get your hopes down!

I also started my application for fall 2020 just incase! But I am so anxious omgggg

did they email you this?

My mistake it was spring 2015 I took it. So it barely expired according to admissions. Yes @Javeria Ali they emailed me what I was missing class wise. 3 I’m enrolled in now but to keep my application rolling I would need to complete the CLEP and score 50 by oct 1. Not really feasible.

AW! check out de anza or foothill college, they are quarter based and may have some classes starting soon that you can take before the semester is done. I have 1 class missing but they did not email me maybe because its a phil class. Classes started this week at de anza and foothil so you still can late register in and get it done!!

MPC also has some classes starting in early October, it’s worth checking just to see your options! I was enrolled in an online class there which I thought I needed to fulfill a last minute requirement.

@Javeria Ali and @leyna.kyle thank you both so much for that info! I literally just enrolled at MPC right now so I can take their late start algebra online. That would be perfect if I could squeeze that in! For now, we all wait some more lol.

Yes you got this!! try and do all the work for that class all in one day so you can focus on the other 3, its a late start so you already get shorter class time! We believe in you ? make sure if u do to add it to your NursingCas
