Well immigration looking to be on the long side, hubby has chance to go to Canada on a temporary work permit so off we go. Been a bit busy trying to decide where to live but will be going to Nova Scotia. US still ongoing but fed up on putting life on hold all the time so grabbing this opportunity

You're the third nurse I know going to Canada!Good luck when you get there.
all I can gleam going to be cold, may look at getting a temp work permit myself once out there and get sorted but will decide later, know got to sit their exam and meet their requirements but don't think that will be a problem

Well that is great and congratulations to your hubby. What an opportunity for you all. Safe travels. When do you head off?

You said it might be on the cards - all the best. Your work permit would only take a short while to organise but the nursing board may take a while to verify your education. You can study for the CRNE while you wait!
Maybe we'll meet up sometime in Canada;-) I'm sure you'll keep us posted on how you're going though!

You're so lucky! You'll have a fab time! Nova Scotia looks stunning! Good luck! x
Thanks guys :)
NS does look stunning but having never visited making it hard to try and find somewhere to live, Hubby will be working from home so not stuck on only being in a certain place. One thing does surprise us is how inexpensive the property is
I think anywhere is gonna be less expensive property wise than the UK at the minute! I live in Belfast just now and the prices of property are ridiculous!

I lived in NS for 7 years and would be happy answer any questions you may have about where to live, etc. Especially if you're thinking the Halifax area, there are good/bad places just like any other city.
But yes, even by Canadian standards property is ridiculously cheap in Nova Scotia.
