I just wanted to leave a complimentary thread about the new Sketcher sneakers advertised on television with the rocker bottom-which is very similar to MBT. I purchased two pair last week, a white for work and black for casual wear and they feel like heaven. I was interested in purchasing MBT at first, but they were too expensive. Thank goodness I waited, because now, I was able to get these for $99. each. Well worth the money, folks!
I went to Kohls in Pennsylvania the other day to buy my 1st Shape ups... I tried them on in the store and they feel great.... I am wearing them around today to get my feet adjust to them. I am a new Nurse 3months now and although I love my danskos... i wanted something different for my feet that I can switch up between Danksos and Sketchers.... So far sooo good. I paid 79 bucks on sale....
If you wait until Kohl's has their 15/20/30% off sales, you can get a great deal! I just got my first pair from Kohl's online on sale for 89.99 and 30% off. Walking around the house in them right now to get used to them and see if I will be able to stay upright (I am a known clutz with some balance issues!). The only thing I've heard negative from co-workers is the "balance" issue, such as when you are boosting someone or transferring, that will take time to get used to. I'm hoping they work some magic on my back and hips.
I am about to buy a pair of the Skid Resistant Work Shape ups which are usually $110 and I found them on sale at Famous Footwear on sale for only $79 right now! Just thought I'd post that in case anyone else is looking. I was deciding between those and Dansco's, but I've decided on Shape ups since you all spoke highly of them. Thanks for all the reviews.
Also, there is a shoe chart on their website that helped me realize I am not actually wide width.
I have wore my new Sketchers Shape ups for 5 days.... so far they are grrrrrrrreat. the soles of my feet and my back DONT hurt anymore.... My posture is improved as well...
Welcome to the Sketcher relief club, where you can rest your tired and your poor soles from the years of abuse with other shoes. Isn't it a dreamy place to be? It is for me!!
I used to look at the MBT shoes, but they were much too expensive. Something told me that eventually, SOMEONE would copy the model for cheaper, and then, Sketchers answered my prayers and my feet thank them! Now that they are coming out with different styles, one can take advantage of them for casual wear as well as work.

I have 2 pairs, one white pair($99.00+ tax) for off work hrs. and a black, skid ($129.00+ Tax) resistant pair for work. Love them both and will buy more when these wear out. My body feels less achy and tired after 12.5 hrs work (6 in a row). Got my first pair in Jan. or Feb. and love them.
