Sim Chart

Who else out there is using Sim Chart??? How do you like it, and what is the easiest way to use it. I find it a bit confusing.

We use SimChart in my program. As far as liking it -- it is what it is. It can be a bit confusing, and almost counter-intuitive. My program was kind enough to set up a "Student Playground" where students can go in and "play" in SimChart. It allows us to explore, to get our feet wet, and if we desire, fill one out and submit it to see if we're using it correctly.

If you're still trying to learn it, the best way (I think) is to get in there and click around each portion successively to find out how to work it. Take a look at the available student resources, as well. There's a video and a number of documents there to help students. My instructor, every time one of us has a question or problem, emphasizes Elsevier's help line and encourages us to call them for any question we have.

Meh. It's ok. Not my favorite thing in the world, but I'd most likely feel the same way about any other "student EHR", too. My sentiments pretty much mirror what Blue Felt Fedora said: "It is what it is."

It was a bit confusing at first but soon you'll be in there clicking away like a pro.

We use it too. Personally, as an LPN, I'd rather chart like I do at work lol. But anyway, it is involved and it is lengthy but I find it gets easier to navigate every time I use it. I've just been learning as I go and relying on my instructor to let me know if I'm doing something wrong.

Our school started using it this semester. I haven't done a care plan in it yet, but I will be. So far it seems pretty easy to use.
