I have talked to many of you on this board and I wanted to know when your next test is scheduled so we can keep each other uplifted and encouraged! Here's your chance to shout it out!
Tell in your post:
1. What you are studying
2. The date you are taking your test
3. The biggest challenge with the course content.

Nursing Concepts 1 on January 14.
I felt the material in this test was review of the fundamentals course I had in LPN school, (only 3 yrs ago) I remembered alot of it. I have only studied about 2 weeks for this test. I'm sure the other exams will require much more study time. Made a 79 on the first practice exam, when I took it cold, so I think I'll do ok. LOL guess we'll find out.
NC girl 35, this is a nice thread thanks.

Hi!! My next test is Micro on Jan 19th.
I too have mental diarrhea. So much info to remember! I'm really nervous about it but I'm gonna do it. This micro has me stuck in a rut. I was doing well last fall with my last 2 exams and this has really slowed me up. Good luck everyone!!

I am currently studying essential of nursing: chronicity. I will be taking
essential of health safety on the 17th of this month. My biggest challenge is w/course content is whether I am taking too many notes and trying to remember everything. I've never been a good note taker, so, I feel I am overwriting attempting to stress areas that may not be of utmost importance. I will follow the recommendations of many of you to take EC practice exams. I will do that this saturday. I plan to read my notes for health safety after I take take A and take test B on Wednesday prior to the actual test. I hope to come back after, and post a passing grade. You guys are role models for me. Even if I do not pass, I will retake the exam. I will test in Horsham,Pa. Thanks for all your support.

I wish you all the best on your upcoming EC test.
My experience with Essentials in Healthcare safety involved very little studying. I looked at the material for about 5 hours over the course of 2 weeks. I got a C. It was pretty common sense but I strongly recommend buying the practice test because they helped a lot. Also go to the yahoo groups and copy some of the NC 1 files. It was very helpful.
Chronicity I studied more because you have to know about the various pain meds and side effects, Care for the chronically ill and end of life care. I'm not gonna lie, the test was hard and I was not sure if I was gonna pass or not. The EC test were helpful but I highly recommend reading some of the chapters to get a better understanding.
I went out an bought the NCLEX RN Review incredibility easy today. It as great review for alot the topics that EC is requiring. Its easy to read and it comes with a disk with 3000 questions.
To all those taking Micro online, you all are very brave, I wish you luck and I know your gonna do fine. I think I'm gonna wait to take that at my local CC because when I go on to get my masters, I don't want to have to repeat it because there was not lab component.
Keep up the good work !!!!!
