I am taking the NCLEX this thursday at 8 am (7/16/15). I am currently using Kaplan and have really enjoyed the way that it keeps me on a schedule and gives me good NCLEX prep and practice. I have completed all of the question trainers and did not do so well (45-56%) and now I am on the Q bank and have about 350 questions left. For the Q bank I have had my lowest score at 38% and my highest score at 76% with my cumulative score being 54%. I have done remediation over the questions that I have missed. I am also planning on doing the prioritization practice test as well as a few focused tests on areas i feel weak on. Should I be worried going into the NCLEX on thursday with these scores? Thanks for your help!

You should not be worried at all . Focus on doing more practice questions . In my opinion Kaplan was harder than the nclex exam .
Do you suggest that I finish the 350 that I have left? I only have today to finish them because I have heard from many people not to study the day before the exam. Thank you for your input!
If that's the only practice questions you are doing , then yes finish the questions and review your lab values today . So tomorrow you can relax .
Use the strategies Kaplan provided you with. Also , remain confident!!! everything will be okay
Ok! Sounds like a plan. Thank you for your advice!
No problem !

Last July I did Kaplan in preparation for the pnclex. My scores were very similar to yours and I only did 1/2 the qbank questions I actually found that the actually pnclex test was easier then Kaplan. On the pnclex I got the minimum number of questions and was done in 45 mins. I was kinda freaking out but I ended up with a pass!
That's amazing and so encouraging! Thank you for your input. I love to hear of recent experiences of other people. Did you put off studying the day before? Is that wise?

I just took my exam today and took Kaplan as well. I don't know if I've passed yet but my scores were somewhat along the lines of yours. I completed all my Kaplan trainers, did about 8-9 question bank exams 75q each and only got to do one sample test. I ran out of time. My day before the exam I just casually ran thru things for review about an hour or two. Two days before I did an intense core content review with my classmate which helped a lot and 1,sample test that night. I wished I had reviewed core content consistently throughout the study process. Oh and look at your weaknesses from qt 4-7 and do a qb 75q on that and see if that helps. My Kaplan instructor encouraged me to do that and it helped relieve some anxiety. Good luck to you!

I sure hope that's true for me too. Lol. Kaplan Qbank is the main thing that I've done to study for nclex. Other than studying labs and making flash cards.
