shoes and uniform question

Published

Hi all just wanted to know what colour shoes and uniforms you guys wear.Am asking because i see some post about white shoes. Our male nurses wear a white shirt, black pants and black shoes thanks.

My uniform has a ceil top and navy bottoms. I am trying to figure out what collor shoes we have a choice of either white, blue or black. They have to be solid colored so it has been a challange to find something that I like. I am interested to see what others have to say about this.

can you buy any solid color shoe, or does it have to be a specific brand?

because if you can buy any, might i reccommend the crocs "professional" style shoes. they're about $45 (that includes shipping). you can get white, black, or blue, as well as other colors.

white, white, and more white, even white tights, not socks, not thin sheer pantyhose, white opaque tights lolol altho I don't mind because I can wear them after I graduate since the hospital I'll be working at requires nurses to be in all white (except shoes, they get pretty creative with the tennis shoe colors lol)

i do not wear a traditional uniform to work (i am female) but neither do any of the male nurses i work with. we wear professional attire (no jeans) and i wear comfortable shoes i can walk in. this may just be me, but i have a big problem with someone dictating what i have to wear unless they pay for the clothing, shoes included. we do wear a badge with a very large, orange tag that says rn on it in very large letters. this badge is required of all rn,s who work in my facility. some of the nurses i work with do wear scrubs, but there is no particular type required. as far as the shoes go, i've seen crocs, danskos, tennies, etc., but nothing i would consider unsafe or unprofessional. how do the rest of you feel about mandatory uniform requirements? (i'm not trying to incite a riot, i'm just curious.)

lots of folks can't work-we get to.:D:d:d

White uniform with white shoes. :(. Community and peds rotation we got to wear colors but it was business casual!

Do any of you have any Dansko's? Do you think they would be a good idea for school? Are they comfortable? Our's have to be all white as well.

We wear all white at our school. We have to buy certain approved scrub tops and pants for the males and females. We have a choice about what shoes to buy and all white athletic shoes are OK (I love my New Balance). It's up to us whether we want to wear a white lab coat and we're allowed to wear street clothes and a white lab coat when we're on the floor for clinical prep. We can wear something white under our scrubs for warmth if we need to.

Do you know which model shoe it is of NB? I have been trying to figure out which model you all are using.
