shoes and uniform question

Published

Hi all just wanted to know what colour shoes and uniforms you guys wear.Am asking because i see some post about white shoes. Our male nurses wear a white shirt, black pants and black shoes thanks.

]we have blue scubs and a white lab coat with our school emblem embroidered onto them for clinicals and a blue polo and khakis for community events with white "nursing" shoes

My nursing uniform consisted of a baby blue zip up short sleeve jacket. It wasn't that bad considering what the women had to wear. We had to buy our uniform from this uniform store that was hardly a scrub store, it dealt more with Tuxedo's, etc. They pushed these white pants on me which cost like $30 each because they had a fly. But they were uncomfortable, so I found my relief in the form of a pair of unisex scrubs from the uniform store, much better. My shoes are white NB's. When I work, I have to wear solid navy blue, not so bad.

At my school were required to wear blue scrubs during theory and all white during clinicals but at all times we have to wear white shoes which I hate, cant wait till graduation in august of o8 to change the scrubs and shoes.

My class (LVN) will have to wear maroon top and bottoms with a patch for the Vocational Nursing program on the right sleeve and white shoes.

RN students are navy blue tops and bottoms with an ADN patch and white shoes.

I agree with dave, I -hate- all white shoes. We had to wear them during our CNA class and the only ones I could find in a size 14 were very uncomfortable, and I found myself cleaning them every morning before I left. The day I started working at the hospital I went out and got me some ADIDAS cross-trainers and they are awesome...especially for Med/Surg.

We can wear whatever scrubs we want. I just have the generic soft hospital scrubs in various colors and closed heeled crocs.

We do have this ridiculously huge name tag that id's us though.

good evening Jared, sounds like you have the same program I'm in when it comes to uniforms except I'm bright blue. It seems like everywhere we go we stand out like a sore thumb, well i've got to go back to studying it's a all nighter due to a 140 question test tomorrow. Dave

anyone know of good leather all white shoes? we can't have any clogs and i've had a hard time finding an all white shoe that will be comfortable for long days

Plain old Reeboks. That's what I used.

when I worked as a PCT I wore solid color scrubs like ceil blue, navy blue, gray, black, forest green(very dark),more navy blue variations-but all were a darker blue.

As a student I have to wear all white.

my student days are just about over... less than 3 weeks left now.

My program's uniform forces us to wear all white. I'm not particular to wearing uniform that doesn't look like regular scrubs or colors that are eye sores. If you have the freedom to choose whatever color then I would suggest wearing simple colors that are easy on the eye. Don't wear something that might seem intimidating if you were a patient looking at the scrubs. I would prefer/sugguest a blue hue, maroon, or maybe even a green hue. Most importantly, wear something that makes YOU feel comfortable.
