Hello! It's that exciting time again!

:)

I'm starting this thread to support, advise, and inform each other about this residency program. If you don't mind, share a little bit about yourselves.

Graduation date: Degree type: healthcare experience: Any special skills or certificates:

Thanks!

I graduated back in December 2012. I have a couple of months of experience as a RN and a year experience as a CNA. I graduated with a ASN and am currently working on my BSN. This will be my 4rth time applying to Sharps NNRP!!! I have the basic certifications (BLS and ACLS) I applied to Grossmont's PCU and telemetry/MS.

Specializes in NICU.

Hi! I applied to Memorial and Grossmont - regular residency track for PCU at one and med/surg at the other (I can't remember which is which off the too of my head!)

I graduated in December 2012 with my BSN through an accelerated program. I am BLS, ACLS, and NRP certified. I also have 20 CEU's of IV/Blood withdrawal from a refresher course.

I currently have a few months of RN experience in a clinic and I also volunteer at a hospital in my area.

Fingers crossed we all stand out to the recruiters this time around! Best of luck to all of us!

I applied to Sharp as well for Mary Birch! This will be the last round I am eligible for based on my graduation date. Good luck to everyone, hoping things get easier for us new grads very soon!!

Hiya! Nice to "see" you again, CaliRN13! I applied for residency tracks (med/surg) for Sharp Memorial & Grossmont. I really hope I get an interview. I got even more interested in Sharp after reading about them during the application process. Good luck to everyone applying and I hope we hear from them soon! :)

Specializes in ER.

I applied for memorial too! I heard they're hiring 11 people for the residency track. Fingers crossed! :)

Hi! I applied to Grossmont PCU/Tele and Memorial. This is the second time I'm applying...I hope, I hope, I hope!!!

I applied for Grossmont NICU and SMB L&D. I graduated with my BSN in May and currently have NRP and S.T.A.B.L.E. certs. I'd love an interview! Not only do I miss patient care, but the capacity to begin paying of my student loans when they kick in next month would sure be super. Best of luck fellow new grads!

Specializes in Emergency Department.

I graduated in May with my BSN, have ACLS, PALS and NRP certs. I applied to Memorial's PCU Rotation and Grossmont's ER department. Crossing my fingers!!!

Specializes in Orthopedics.

I'll be graduating this December with my 2nd degree being BSN. I've been A CNA at Sharp for 5 years been licensed for 7, BLS & ACLS certified. I applied to Memorial & Grossmont. Wishing positive vibes to everyone :)

Specializes in Hospice & Palliative Care, Oncology, M/S.

I wish you all luck. I've been at Chula Vista since February and am in love with it. :)

I'm holding out hope for Grossmonts PCU residency rotation. This is my second time applying as well and hopefully have better luck this time around! Trying not to get to anxious because it is going to be a long waiting time for the units that start in February and March. Good luck to everyone!
