Published

Hello everyone! Sharp new grad’s application opened on Monday (2/17). I just wanted to make this so we can all keep each other updated. ?

I had applied for spring 2020, got an interview for ICU, but unfortunately did not get hired. So here I am, round 2! ?

good luck everyone!!

A job offer. they are calling it an "RN Extender" position so you will always be with/attached to an RN. It is a per diem, temporary position that will essential be run like the float pool does.

WOW! that sounds like a really cool opportunity! When do you start?

Training starts Monday!

That’s awesome, how exciting! Did they say where you are going to be located

its a float position

@Xm92Hello could You please send me the email too. ??

Do you mind telling us how much they are paying RN extenders? Also, do you already have a BSN or MSN or experience?

$37/hr. I graduate next month with my BSN, & I work for sharp right now as a CNA.

A few of my classmates without experience have gotten offers also, it seems like they’re trying to get as many people as they can ASAP.

Thanks for responding! So not all your classmates work as CNA’s? I would like to get the experience too!

Are these offers for new grad positions or the other positions regarding the need for extra staff? If for new grads, can you please tell me which facility?

WOW! that would be an awesome opportunity! I'm also internal and I sent in my resume but haven't got any message back.. Hopefully soon! I just applied for licensure from the BRN but I have a feeling its going to take awhile to get a test date.

Has any new grad with a california license heard back about the surge application?

@NurseRed79, BSN, RN

I'm a new grad with a CA License and only heard back yesterday with the email I received about preferences. Haven't heard anything else. Was thinking maybe they did students first? No idea though.
