  1. I have a temporary CA license, as I'm pending full endorsement from another state, which should go through next month. My current temp CA RN license number is only 7 numbers, so I'm wondering if the system doesn't recognize that? So frustrating!
  2. My RN License # continues to say failure in the system. I have emailed them several times with no luck in them fixing it. Has anyone else had this issue and found a way to get it fixed?
  3. You’re welcome! From what I understood the Scripps surge is for students only? Did they open it up further?
  4. I'm not sure. She said the RN Extender positions were already fully filled by students and thats what I would have fallen under apparently..? She also said they have very strict guidelines as to who they can and cannot hire for the surge with specific requirements. She told me I can try again in a month when I have the full CA license because I do have 6 years hospital experience in a similar field, just not nursing. Sort of seems like they're targeting students or experienced RN's. (she said they would maybe consider my previous experience) but not 100% sure! There has to be a way to utilize new grad RN's with no experience.. so maybe that's coming soon! When I asked about the New Grad program she was very brief, just mentioned it was indefinitely postponed and sort of laughed when I asked if she had any idea of a new start date. She had no idea. Then just said the Spring cohort is doing virtual learning and their program is kind of all messed up with this so they may be moved ahead of us or merge with the next cohort? It was sort of confusing but she stressed that it just may be harder for us.
  5. I found out yesterday I was not accepted to the Surge Hiring because I have a temporary CA RN License (I tested in Texas), even though a temp license allows you to practice as an unrestricted RN. My full, not temporary, CA RN License should go through this month but they still wouldn't accept it. Made no sense to me, but oh well! The recruiter also let me know that the Summer New Grad program is indefinitely postponed with no projected date to resume. She also said it's going to be 100x harder/trickier for us because the Spring cohort was messed up so they'll be the priority.
  6. Awesome! Maybe new grad RN’s will hear back tomorrow then??
  7. ...seems like mostly students have gotten hired so far...?
  8. @NurseRed79, BSN, RN I'm a new grad with a CA License and only heard back yesterday with the email I received about preferences. Haven't heard anything else. Was thinking maybe they did students first? No idea though.
  9. @ NurseRed79, BSN, RN I turned in my application maybe around noon or 1pm on Saturday. I never got a confirmation that they received it or anything. Just got an email this morning at like 4am that was referencing specific preferences. The email does say that some people are being reached out to by Recruiters as well.
  10. I received a general email early this morning asking for location preference, availability, shift preference, etc. Did anyone else? Still curious as to how everyone is going to help out!
  11. @NurseRed79, BSN, RN I applied Saturday afternoon and haven't heard either. Was the email you got from them? or someone else?
  12. Do you mind sharing the email you used to inquire? I'm a new RN but would love to learn about ways to help out while waiting on New Grad programs!
  13. does everyone get the self-identity email? I didn't get one, thats why I ask..
  14. ^Thanks so much for the input!! Do you mind if I email you separately to ask you a couple questions?
  15. Has anyone gotten a job as an RN at somewhere other than a hospital while applying to New Grad positions/in the meantime? Especially, if hired, they don’t start for month. Was just curious ?
