Sharp New Grad Summer 2020 - August

Published

Hello everyone! Sharp new grad’s application opened on Monday (2/17). I just wanted to make this so we can all keep each other updated. ?

I had applied for spring 2020, got an interview for ICU, but unfortunately did not get hired. So here I am, round 2! ?

good luck everyone!!

I applied for adult services acute care as well! Didn't get an interview the last time around but I'm graduated and licensed now so just hoping for the best

For those of you applying for the 2nd time.. have you found another job as an RN in the meantime? I don't graduate until May so I am trying to figure out my other options if I don't get in..

I ended putting PCU at SMH as my first choice & MICU as my second. I graduated and have my license now so I’m hoping for the best. I’m also not sure when we are supposed here back. If anyone else has more info let us know!

Hey everyone,

My first choice was Chula Vista ED and second choice was PCU at Memorial.

Hi! I’ve applied to Adult Services - Acute Care at SMH. I’m an internal applicant and will graduate in May.

Hi everyone! I put Sharp Coronado as my first choice. Good luck to all of you! I graduate in April, applied to Scripps but my application status never changed from submission received. Hoping this time my resume at least makes it to the hiring manager!

Has anyone gotten a job as an RN at somewhere other than a hospital while applying to New Grad positions/in the meantime? Especially, if hired, they don’t start for month. Was just curious ?

Yeah I did. I applied to Scripps 3x and Sharp 1x. For Sharp last oct, my app went to the manager but I didn't get picked for an interview (SCV). I figured while I wait for all these new grads to open up I might as well get a job. I currently work at a SNF which I started 2 weeks before this last round so I was able to put it on my resume. I'm coming up on a month working there and I don't regret it. It's hard but I feel like I have learned so much. Also feel like I'm not wasting away at home lolol

^Thanks so much for the input!! Do you mind if I email you separately to ask you a couple questions?

Hi everyone! Joining late, but I also applied. Originally from California, but currently an out-of-state applicant. I applied to both SICU Grossmont and Cardiac PCU Grossmont. Has anyone received any updates to their app?

Hello everyone! I am from out of state (TX) and applied Feb 17th to both EDs at Memorial and Grossmont. My submission status changed to under consideration on March 1st, so I am hoping that is a good sign!

My submission status also changed to under consideration on March 1st. Hopeful to hear more soon. Does anyone know if we should expect a call or email?
