Sharp New Grad Summer 2020 - August

Hello everyone! Sharp new grad’s application opened on Monday (2/17). I just wanted to make this so we can all keep each other updated. ?

I had applied for spring 2020, got an interview for ICU, but unfortunately did not get hired. So here I am, round 2! ?

It seems like people have heard from Memorial. I haven’t heard from Sharp CV or Coronado. Maybe each facility is going through applications on their own time.

Hi all!

I've received an email for SMH ED that it's "canceled or moved onto other candidates" back in Feb, but then last week I got another email stating "all current applications are being reviewed" and my application shows that it's "under consideration" on the Sharp website... LOL

I'm not trying to get my hopes up or anything, but has anyone heard from Memorial ED? But I'm assuming if I haven't heard anything by now, I probably wasn't selected right?

Not for ED, but the same has happened with me for memorial acute care. Who knows

I didn't apply to the ICU specifically but I have not heard anything from Grossmont or Coronado still

Word on the street, some candidates were invited to interview with Grossmont. DOU.

And Chula Vista may have the largest COVID population in the Sharp system, so that could be delaying things there.

(I'm a nursing student. My sources are other nursing students, including those working at Sharp).

I work at Grossmont. There is no DOU unit. Unless they meant observation unit?

and yes Chula Vista has the highest and are starting to overflow to other sharp systems.
