Sharp New Grad Summer 2020 - August

Hello everyone! Sharp new grad’s application opened on Monday (2/17). I just wanted to make this so we can all keep each other updated. ?

I had applied for spring 2020, got an interview for ICU, but unfortunately did not get hired. So here I am, round 2! ?

last I heard SICU interviews were to take place in June. I don’t know about MICU

Nope still says under review since February for SICU at Grossmont. I gave up a while back, it's not a priority for me anywhere, but it'll be nice if I am offered an interview!

@[e-mail] Hi Guys! Hope everything went well at your guys interview ? Do you guys mind me asking if they asked any clinical/medication questions in the first interview? Or was it just behavioral/get to know you questions?

My friend who interviewed got one clinical/med question and all the rest was get to know you

Thank you! Yes there was one clinical question for me, no med question. It was pertaining to report on a patient and the workup you would expect for a certain condition so make sure you read up on conditions you will most likely encounter in the ER. Also It was very quick about 10 minutes and most all except for the 1 clinical question were behavioral get to know you questions.

@T.BSNOh, okay I see. Thank you for the input! I appreciate it! How did your simulation interview go?! My friend works there at SCV ED and he loves it! So best of luck to you!! I interviewed with SCV ICU yesterday. I originally applied for Sharp's Med-Surg/PCU unit's bc I thought I had a better chance at those versus a specialty. So I was surprised when the lady called me she told me that those units have been put on hold until further notice and if I was interested in the ICU position.
