Sharp New Grad Summer 2020 - August

Hello everyone! Sharp new grad’s application opened on Monday (2/17). I just wanted to make this so we can all keep each other updated. ?

I had applied for spring 2020, got an interview for ICU, but unfortunately did not get hired. So here I am, round 2! ?

I got an email and read the website and I didn’t see anything about it being only for students. But I signed up to get more information so I guess we will see.

Hey everyone! I got an email thanking my for applying and notifying me that they are placing a hold on additional hires for the COVID surge for Sharp. I also applied for Scripps but I believe they are interested only in applicants that had a clinical rotation there and I did not. Good luck to everyone applying though!

I also am a senior nursing student and was offered the RN extender position yesterday as well. I wanted to ask if you received the email with the offer yet? I haven't and I know the person I spoke with said that training will begin Monday so I wanted to see if you had any more information on that!

Hi! I’m also a last semester student who will be doing the extender position but I work at Sharp already so I’ve been able to ask my manager about it. They are still finalizing a lot of details about it and training may be pushed back to later in the week.

Thank you so much for the information! I haven't received the email with the offer attached to it as discussed with the person who offered me the position over the phone, and was starting to freak out if I gave them/verified the wrong email with them LOL So thank you so much! Would you be okay getting in contact via email with me just so I can be up to date with any other information that you may come across?

Hey Tayk,

I was wondering if your email said that they are putting a hold on hires or if they said that they are still reviewing their needs but still reviewing your application?

Hi aem17 and nursekathie2020,

I also was offered the RN extender position on Friday but haven't received an email with a formal offer or more information about orientation. Let me know if you guys hear anything back!

I applied Friday and received a reply from Sharp last night that they are still reviewing their needs and will contact me if needed.

Any other licensed RN's get that note?

I haven't received an email yet with the official offer. They told me when they offered it that training would be Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday but I never got a date so I just emailed them again to follow up and try find out.
