I haven't received an email yet with the official offer. They told me when they offered it that training would be Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday but I never got a date so I just emailed them again to follow up and try find out.

@lizzy0701 @aem17 @sundevilnurse9 Hey guys, I just received my offer letter via email around 8:30 this morning! It stated that the projected start date is 4/15/20, and that our supervisor will be reaching out to us in regards to training information. Feel free to email me to keep each other in the loop if you guys would like! My email is [email protected]

Thank you!

For Scripps, I don't understand how we apply if we weren't students at one of their facilities. It states on the link that you need to be. Did you-who weren't at Scripps for clinicals-just apply and write NO and submit anyway?

Specializes in Neuro/Medical/Surgical ICU.

Yep, exactly! Doesn't hurt to throw an application & if they need me, well I'm here.

I did the same. ?

Specializes in CCRN, Neuro, Surgical, Trauma ICU.

Hi, since they’re doing surge hiring, does anyone know if they’re still doing the new grad program? Because on the app it said nothing about new grad nurses...

I am an RN nursing student who was accepted into the Scripps program so if anyone has questions about that let me know.

Also I know this is off topic but I was wondering if there are any other California ADN nursing students out there who can let me know how their programs are handling clinical hours with coronavirus and if you are still graduating on time?

As of now, the New Grad Program is still supposed to be following the same timeline/hiring!

Hey do you know if it’s just for nursing students?

@alex-r How do you know? ?

As far as I know they have only hired nursing students.

Was anyone offered a position with an offer letter but hasn't heard anything else about paperwork or training? I heard they rescinded some people's offers and was wondering if anyone was in the same boat!

Oh no! That wouldn't be good. Maybe they over-offered and realized the surge isn't predicted to be so much? I am guessing they decided to use the nursing students but didn't know how to use RN's unless they have a lot of (independent) experience. Unsure.
