Hi everyone,
I just applied to Sharp's New Grad Residency Winter 2010/2011. *Fingers, Toes, and Eyes crossed that we get interviews*
Just wondering if anyone else had some trouble with the online application process. I completed the online application, and SAVED it; however, I noticed that if I wanted to review my entries by clicking on "Online Application," all entries were blank. I also wish that we could view uploaded documents (cover letters and transcript) just so I know that they really do have it on file.
Anyway, I look forward to hearing about any progress with this residency.
Unfortunately I didn't have an interview. I'm still waiting to hear back from the hiring manager. I just talked to the recruiter on the phone a couple weeks ago.
I got an email that my resume was forwarded to the PCU, Grossmont n the manager will contact if selected for interview by dec 17th. so far I did not hear anything from them.
i had my interview december 2nd for sharp chula vista's pcu. i broke and finally called back on december 14th to see if they filled the 5 positions that they have. when i interviewed they said that they got 1,700 applications for 5 positions and they narrowed it down to 200 that they were going to consider, but probably not interview all 200. that is a 1:40 chance of getting a job offer (can you tell that i have been thinking about this a bit?). anyways the manager is a very nice woman. she said that she knows that we are all nervous and anxious, but to have patience because we will not be getting any calls back until after christmas. that honestly about ruined my holidays. i am dreaming about the interview and receiving the rejection letter. in one of my dreams that rejection letter actually had almost a graded score of how many questions i missed. i remember thinking "how could i only have gotten 1/4 right? there were far more questions then that!" so i spent the rest of the dream trying to find the panel and correct them...goodness i am convinced that i might be going crazy!
to answer a question to me earlier, yes there were at least 7-8 med-surg, nurse management, prioritization, and delegation questions and just general nursing questions. one after the other…from a panel of 7 white coats. it was either amazingly impressive that they put that much care into their hiring process…or extremely intimidating. you decide. the worst part is as i answered incorrectly, they just watch you sink. i am sure its not to be mean, but they can’t help me. it was my interview, not theirs. harsh.
@katie33
hope you see this, i am only have guest membership therefore i cant private message you.
in regards to phone interview questions,
last fall i had phone interview and panel interview but did not get hired.
i applied again this march, hadn't heard anything and thought my application didnt get seen and then out of no where i recieve a call asking for a phone interview again.
i honestly cant remember the questions in great detail it was so long ago and i have been on so many interviews since so here we go...
strength and weakness
where do you see your self in 5, 10, 20 yrs
what do you bring
why sharp healthcare
why nursing
thats all i can remember my phone interview is today.
I got a job offer from Chula Vista Too!!!!!! I thought I did so bad in the interview, but as usual like the NCLEX and my current job at Sharp..I was just far too hard on myself.
How was the interview like? I was told that there would be 7 interviewers at the most...This will be my first panel interview so I'm kinda nervous
