Hi everyone,

I just applied to Sharp's New Grad Residency Winter 2010/2011. *Fingers, Toes, and Eyes crossed that we get interviews* :clown:

Just wondering if anyone else had some trouble with the online application process. I completed the online application, and SAVED it; however, I noticed that if I wanted to review my entries by clicking on "Online Application," all entries were blank. I also wish that we could view uploaded documents (cover letters and transcript) just so I know that they really do have it on file.

Anyway, I look forward to hearing about any progress with this residency.

Twentysomething: I am remaining hopeful that we all still have a chance to be selected for an an interview. I received the email that my portfolio was forwarded to the director of med surg/tele @ Chula and have yet to hear from them still...which scares me! But regardless, we must remain hopeful, if I don't hear from Sharp I am hoping for UCSD!

*Fingers crossed for EVERYONE in this tough economy*

My understanding is that if you are not contacted by Nov. 22nd, you will not go further in the process.

Does anyone know what is next in the process after the interview? Are you hired/dismissed after that, or is there another interview to follow? Also, to those of you who were contacted for an interview, were you instructed to bring letters of recommendation with you? I was not told to bring anything, but I am so nervous that I'm second guessing everything!

tele/medsurg or ER?

I know what you mean I am super nervous I would hate not to get the job because I was horrible during the interview :(

I put tele as my #1 and the tele/med/surg residency as my #2. My interview is for tele.

I think that the most important thing is that we remain confident :)

CaliGrl where is your interview?

I got a similar email from Grossmont PCU stating that the managers are reviewing the portfolio and will be contacted by Dec 17th if chosen to move forward. So dont give up hope!!!!

i had my interview yesterday with sharp chula vista med-surg/tele. they told me that they had selected 200 applicants and were still in the beginning phases of contacting and going through the portfolios selected. they said that i was barely the second interview of the 200. i am super sad to say that it was the worst interview i ever had. i am sure that i answered the questions they asked wrong because as soon as i was out and in my car...eureka...the right answers popped up...i got pretty much every nursing question they asked wrong. i am disappointed...and even a bit embarrassed. i thought i was prepared, but i just wanted the job so badly that my nerves caused a major mind block!

ohhhh I am sure you did better than you think....but I know what you mean about nerves :(

do you mind sharing what kind of questions they've asked? or at least if they asked many clinical questions? I know I will mess up on those regardless hehehe

Also do you by any chance know when their program will start? I am at a big disadvantage of not having my license :(

anyway good luck and I hope you will make it and you never know we might make it together hehehe

do you know how many they will hire? oh and how many people interviewed you? hahaha do I have enough questions

my interview is on the 9th
