SFSU ELMSN Fall 2023

Published

Hi everyone,

I just submitted my application to SFSU's ELMSN program for fall 2023. I didn't see a thread for this, so creating one here if you'd like to share your experiences, updates, and decisions! Based on the previous thread for fall 2022 it doesn't seem like we will hear from admissions until April. Best of luck to everyone!

I'm praying to get off the waitlist for rush university and I've been accepted to Saint Mary's. But if I do get into SFSU imma go solely bc instate tuition will be a life safer. Regardless all good programs

I already got in to two other schools so most likely I won't be going to SFSU even if I get in. But I doubt I'll get in LOL they had over 600 applicants.

over 600 applicants and only 20 get admitted??? wtfffff

What other schools did y'all get into in case sfsu doesn't choose you? Cause 20 is such a scary number LOL

I got accepted to University of Miami - ABSN program. That's looking like the move for me at this point LOL

Unfortunately. That's most programs though. USD had over 400 applicants and they picked 40.

Why I think when I was applying they were taking around 70 ?

I'm a little confused on the 20 since there's CNS, Public Health, and Nursing Admin. And then CNS had different emphasis' we had to pick. So will they pick 20 in total including all of those specialties? Or 20 each?

UCD has 30, UCI had 20 and they increased it this year to 40, USD has 40. The biggest cohort size I have heard is 60, but most schools 30 or less.

I am also reading the thread from SFSU ABSN 2023 if you want some information about the SFSU nursing program, but not technically for the SFSU ELMSN program.

Hey all,

Curious if everyone else's gateway has this message since from when your app was submitted?
