SFSU ELMSN Fall 2023

Published

Hi everyone,

I just submitted my application to SFSU's ELMSN program for fall 2023. I didn't see a thread for this, so creating one here if you'd like to share your experiences, updates, and decisions! Based on the previous thread for fall 2022 it doesn't seem like we will hear from admissions until April. Best of luck to everyone!

Hey all,

Curious if everyone else's gateway has this message since from when your app was submitted?

Yep, and not gonna lie I probably look at least twice a day now since it is April....?

How do you guys check your application status? I can't click on mine and when I check admissions status under new students it is blank. Hopefully we get an email.

Yeah, yours was different from mine, or maybe because you had an undergrad from SFSU

I had looked at some of the posts from previous years and it looks like even though they were told mid April, they had admission emails the first week of April! I've been sooo anxious since this month began LOL like I physically feel sick doing all this waiting ??

I'm a little confused on the 20 since there's CNS, Public Health, and Nursing Admin. And then CNS had different emphasis' we had to pick. So will they pick 20 in total including all of those specialties? Or 20 each?

Hi Jasmin,

That is the information that was given to me when I called the SON. Regardless of the speciality, it's 20 ?. They have other programs that start or will be starting soon as well, and have to make sure there is enough clinal site placement for each cohort. I'm assuming that's why the number is so low.

Hey guys,

I'm soooo over waiting. I called the SON again to confirm some of the information that I was given back in Feb.

I asked them when decisions will be sent out and I was told that the last cohort was notified mid April, so that is when we should expect to hear back. Decisions will be sent via email. Tbh the person sounded pretty irritable LOL so IDK if they are experiencing too many calls right now. The only different piece of information that I was given this time was that 24 students will be admitted instead of 20. Good luck everyone!

24 is better than 20!

I would also just like to be put out of my misery of waiting at this point. One way or the other just let me know!
