U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hello Everybody!

I just wanted to start a thread for us to help each other get through the Seton RN Residency selection process for July 2015.

Feel free to post any updates, questions, and experiences.

I applied 2.17, and as of today my paperwork for routed to HR. I am patiently awaiting further information.

Also, who will be attending the open house?

Finally, I just wanted to say GOOD LUCK!

I haven't heard anything either which worries me since they started interviews 😕

I haven't heard anything either. I know of only 2 classmates that have received interviews.

Do you know which units?

I have an interview on the oncology unit on the 7th...the recruiter stated they are only interviewing people for two days and by the time I got a hold of her, she only had one day left (that Tuesday) and two spots opened...hope this helps!

The units they got interviews for were ICU at Seton Main and med-surg (not sure which seton).

So you contacted the recruiter mskrys? Or did you wait to be contacted?

I haven't heard anything either. :cyclops:

For those who got interviews:

1. Are you guys BSN or ADN?

2. Did you attend the open house?

3. Any previous hospital exp?

Anyone hear anything about interviews at SMCA for NICU ??? Hate the waiting! :( Just want to know if I should count this one out.

3. Any previous hospital exp?

1. BSN, decent GPA 3.3

2.I did not, but I'm also out of state so they may have cut me some slack.

3. I have two years working as a nurse's aide in a nursing home and one year working in a hospital setting on an ortho floor. The recruiter specifically told me when she called that my work history and experience made me stand out. I also already have my Texas RN license, which was a plus for her. Hope this helps

No word from Seton over here either. I applied to several jobs and also attended the open house.

1. BSN

2. I attended the open house

3. I work in the ED now and have had 2 previous hospital positions

I interviewed at Dell yesterday. But I haven't heard from anyone else and I applied to like 10 positions!

We can't give up or be discouraged!

I waited for the recruiter to call me.

1. BSN-GPA 3.6

2. Didn't attend the open house

3. Hosp/Clinic experience in oncology research
